‘23 GA SDE Victor Burley (Clemson commit)

Lost one of the best defensive coordinators in the game and their offensive system is trash, the only thing they have going for them is their schedule

That’s the point. Their schedule is super weak. They still have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. If they played in the SEC, I think it would be different. But the ACC is likely going back to normal where Clemson runs the show. I hope it’s the opposite and they fall apart. I just don’t see it.

TN NIL game is among the best there is. Clemsons might be one of the worst. So why is Clemson even in this? I am confused.
1) NIL isn’t the everything
2) According to AP, all the schools are catching up. Just because you’re out front doesn’t mean you stay there by a wide margin. With the resources CFB schools have, it’s easy to get it going
3) Maybe they’re willing to use a significant portion of their NIL on him. You can’t just outbid everyone for every player

Some kids want to go where they don't have to earn a spot and work hard to keep it-- that and know they will be playing easy competition 3/4 of the season... the kid may just be soft (which are more kids than folks think these days) and just wants to start, get glory, beat inferior opponents, and hopes he puts up good enough stats and tape to get drafted one day...

Bruh, stop trolling. 😄 It's enough to keep up with the threads as it is. You don't have to argue against weak takes.
More like taking a secular point and continuing to harp on it, let’s be honest high school kids are getting offered NIL and most will go to the highest bidder it’s the same as it has always been its just now the money is on the table not under it

Yes, Clemson sounds pretty positive about this one and he may even cancel his OV to Athens this weekend.

Their site TI feels good about him as if he told the coaches something. FWIW TI is more accurate than Ana Hickey.
Yea TI is like our VQ guys. If they make a prediction it’s usually happening and they logged one for Burley to Clemson this week.

Hopefully we keep pressing though because you never know!

Clemson will implode this year. All of the elements are there for the wheels to blow off. Never forget these clowns got to be where they are by recruiting the areas that made us champions in Fulmer’s years.

I'll continue to say, we have seen it time and time again. This recruitment is primed for Rodney Garner. All the way to pen hits paper, which is a long way from today. Go ask Tennessee...go ask Bama...go ask UGA and Florida and whoever else...at one time or another, Garner has ripped everyone's heart out in these EXACT SAME situations. I will NEVER count that man out whenever it comes to landing a big time D lineman in the final hour.

Steals a 5 star at last minute every year seems like, he must know how to make the mommas trust him

Garner has been putting kids in the league for a very long time. If you were to make a list of elite Dline coaches he would certainly be near the top. Clemson has had a lot of success lately but if they take a step back this year it becomes concerning for kids and their families that are looking at that program. Personally thought Venerables was one of the best DCs in the country, really think losing both coordinators and the administrative changes above Dabo will be a lot for him to weather this year.

Venebles is a monumental loss, no bones about it.

Fulmer had Saban, Urban, Spurrier, Richt, Les Miles ect surrounding him. Clemson plays Wake/BC/NC St/struggling FSU/ND this year. They can’t fall unless some ACC teams pass them.
I could see them going 10-2, which is a big disappointment vs their schedule but they aren’t gonna pull a TN 05 anytime soon sadly.

I think Garner, Larry Johnson, and Bates are the best in the business.
