Milton scares me,Jmo and not to derail kids thread.Hez had plenty of playing time now, coaching change etc.Kid just ain't got it between the ears.No disrespect intended, but we all watched the same QB.Some things u can't teach,I'll be the first to eat my crow if he comes in and excels.I highly doubt that, but prove me wrong Milton, don't be scared lol..

I think people underestimate how tough that stretch will be. Pitt on the road; Florida has our number; LSU on the road. We sweep that stretch and Heupel has done very, very well. We aren’t bringing back an elite roster. We have a pretty good one, but if we are honest it is middle of the pack in the SEC, not top 3rd. Defense will still be weak point, and we are one QB injury away from a very bumpy ride…
If we can’t handle Florida this year then we may never handle them.

That was awful but we don’t need to dwell on it bc we need him going forward.

Good luck getting people to forget that one. Group of folks that will never let that go. He improved in limited opportunity outside of that one play. If Tillman wasnt worn out with dead leg the play before that then the play never happens as he was fingertips from game winning TD play before. Milton is no where near worse than Jg or the early Crompton years or the Peterman days like some seem to think when saying worst ever. Milton only issue in his starts was connecting deep ball in game. His other throws were money in the short to intermediate game but he missed the big shots. I for one wouldn’t be surprised if he shines in his next opportunity in this offense.

Boom!! Had 1 nice throw. He is fixed....

HE ACTUALLY SAID, “not enough to say he has figured it out…” And yet you reply by inserting different words in his mouth, implying that he said Milton is fixed.

When you only think in absolutes, other people’s ability to think in nuanced terms is confusing, isn’t it?

their hc hire is pure garbage. and im so happy

He isn’t garbage but he has one hell of an ego. His defensive staff is elite. He hit a home run with that group. Where he didn’t hit a home run is on offense and thinking he is a QB guru trying to be play caller and QB coach and HC. I think that will be his downfall. He will recruit a heck of a roster of talent and defense will be good but he will realize two years in that he isn’t a offensive QB guru and set himself back. I’m just shocked he is doing that. He wasn’t even calling his own plays at Louisiana. Never been a QB guru but suddenly thinks he can be at Florida?

Yeah if Tillman wasn’t worn out that was a touchdown and legendary status for both players

I hope we do not need him in the future. That would mean that Hooker has an injury, that Hooker reverts back to his Freshman year or that the WB we just signed is a bust. I don’t like any of those possibilities

He was 12 for his last 19 for 63% for 132 yds 1 TD 0 ints….. threw a beautiful deep ball to Tillman against Georgia….. not enough to say he has figured it out but enough to give hope for the future.

It's debatable and we can agree to disagree.I appreciate you giving him the benefit of the doubt, but one pass in garbage time to Tillman of 53 yards doesn't wow most.I will say the 12 yard TD pass was prob his best play of the year.It was single coverage so he didn't do anything special,he just did what basic QBs are suppose to do.Thats what I don't get the guy had 2 or 3 years couple as starter, and we're happy he can make a 12 yard slant pass?Or that he can toss 10 deep balls and connected on one finally with Neyland empty and Georgia already home? That's all im saying, every time the "Lights"have been on he's choked, period. If he ain't figured it out by now, unless he stays as long as Fulkerson I don't think he ever will.

Sure, the stats vs. Georgia were late in the game, but Kirby was playing the stat game with us trying to keep us from scoring. He had a number of starters in the game on that last drive and the TD pass to Tillman was beating Ringo on the slant. The 17 points scored against them was the most during the season except for Alabama.
