Got a year to keep him from flipping…wouldn’t happen this week. Ditto on your Morlock point tho.I think it will be interesting to see if we can hang onto him. Golesh is known as one of the best TE coaches in the country and is his primary recruiter. Golesh leaving probably also hurts our changes with Kyle Morlock.
It might affect Morlock, but that's it. Heupel is the architect of the offense. Promote Halze to OC, and bring in a great recruiter to coach TEs. It hurts most because he's the position coach of the spot where we have greatest need from the portal.Got a year to keep him from flipping…wouldn’t happen this week. Ditto on your Morlock point tho.

Sounds good to me. The promote up could work here because Halze has been with Heupel since Oklahoma. He may not want to be OC though. He's a reserved guy that may want to focus on QBs his whole career.I honestly can't remember (other than Clemson) where that promote up has worked.
We did that with Randy Sanders (meh).
Freddie WHittingham is TE/Recruit co for UTAH. Everyone see's how awesome their TE's.
And they recruit well under the radar
Also maybe he could bring in some power run ideas from Utah.
Make him Co-Oc with Halze.

I doubt this is shocking news to him. Golesh has been interviewing for a week and I would be surprised if Huepel doesn’t already have a replacement lined up…and if it’s a lock the recruits probably already know about itMorlock probably not coming here now. Might not have been coming here anyway but doubt it happens now as a grad transfer
And Huepel could easily call the plays and probably will at first regardless of who the new OC is until he is comfortable with them like how he did with GoleshSounds good to me.
