Tight End Michael Smith continues to look into visiting some schools while being still committed to South Carolina. He and Alec Abeln have been continuing to build a solid relationship as Tennessee needs more bodies for the tight end room. Smith is obviously hearing about the Vols from Jake Merklinger.

South Carolina tight end commitment Michael Smith hopes to be in town next weekend unofficially for the Georgia game, as he continues to listen to Tennessee. Auburn is a factor in this one as well, as South Carolina is fighting to hold onto the four-star pass-catcher. Fellow Calvary Day teammate and Tennessee commitment Jake Merklinger is frequently in Smith's ear about joining him on Rocky Top.

Jake Merklinger will be in town again with his teammate and South Carolina commitment, tight end Michael Smith joining him. It certainly feels like Smith will not end up at South Carolina unless something crazy happens. Tennessee and Auburn seem to be the best two options as we head into mid-November.

Where did I say I don’t like our class? It’s a pretty good class. It’s not a great class. Yet. Not like I’m the only person on this board with a wishlist. Basically everyone else is saying the same thing as I am.
