they're all in that 4.4 40 range. some a tick or two faster, some a tick or 2 slower. Payton and Brown seem to have the fastest 40 times per their hudl stats.hey anyone with some knowledge of this help me out? How does Haselwoods speed compare with that of Brown, Payton and Ellis? I know the kid is elite but so are guys like Pickens from Hoover and he is by no means a burner, watched him play against IMG and he made some awesome catches but every one of them was contested, so I guess what I'm asking is Haselwood more of a big possession receiver or does he have more speed and can fit more of the burner roll that we desperately need?
I wasn't thinking about hudl, checked haselwood and it listed his 40 at 4.69? Heck If they're in the market for a big possession receiver they should go down the road to greeneville and offer dorien goddard, kid is a 3* commited to Virginia Cavs and I'm not kidding his combination of speed and strength is ridiculous, the DB's he plays against can't gang tackle him let alone 1v1, last friday watched him block a kid into the bushes on the sideline, it was like that scene from the blind side in real lifethey're all in that 4.4 40 range. some a tick or two faster, some a tick or 2 slower. Unless they are thinking about flipping someone to DB.the only thing keeping Brown from being committed right now, i would think, is that they're trying to see what they can do here.
if Haselwood isn't in play, then they probalby just have a decision to make on Brown or Payton. Haselwood gets first right of refusal it seems. not sure where ellis is on the board, i think he's probably a rung below brown and payton.
NO WAY Jerry Jeudy is a 4.55 guy now, dude is blazing fast. PHaselwood is a 4.55 guy but he has all of the tools of an elite reciever. Remember Jerry Jeudy was a 4.55 guy. Would you take him?
I take Brown if Haselwood doen't happen because his 4 years eligibility vs 2 for Paytonthe only thing keeping Brown from being committed right now, i would think, is that they're trying to see what they can do here.

Yeah there is a such thing as football speed. Some kids don't know all the track/running techniques to get a good 40 time but can put on the pads and burn past everyone on the field. The opposite is also true with some guys running a solid 40 but not being nearly as fast with pads on. That 40 time isn't the full story. It can be a little better determining factor in speed for guys at the combine since they train to run the 40 for months in advance. Most high school kids don't have access to that kind of training.
according to this, JJ is a 4.47 guy.NO WAY Jerry Jeudy is a 4.55 guy now, dude is blazing fast. P

That is very true but it's about the only indicator besides sitting around and watching a lot of film and I personally don't have the time do that or the motivationSome kids don't know all the track/running techniques to get a good 40 time but can put on the pads and burn past everyone on the field.
