'19 GA WR Jadon Haselwood (Oklahoma commit)

I thought we had Lawrence committed and almost had fields.
I don't recall that. Fields was committed to Penn St for awhile. Lawrence grew up a UT fan, I believe, Manning poster on the wall; but, I don't believe he ever committed to anywhere but Clemson.

I just posted in recruiting thread, I believe we would have landed Lawrence if Pruitt and Helton had been here.

Lawrence would be a Vol right now if Mr Stride Rite hadn't told him he didn't fit here! Talked to his family and he wanted to come here, loved it at UT but the dumbest coach in America said he wouldn't fit our offensive system! Thankfully that idiot is now gone!

Well, he was right though. A coach who was capable of catering to the strengths of his players would have been able to make Lawrence work. Jones doesn't fall in that category.

Good catch. I meant Johnson.

Still just wondering what's up with the bigger rated commits leaving UGA all of a sudden.
I think they've come to the realization that UGA isn't the next Bama, yeah they're really good but the aren't in the same stratosphere as Bama and I don't think they will be in the future, the SEC CG will be a bloodbath just like every other game Bama has played. Also could be a case where the loss of a commitment affected another commit, but hey I'm just spit-balling here

Somewhat true, I mean heck Dobbs made him look ok for years, I am pretty sure that even in stride rites offense Lawrence would have made it look at least passable.

Has anyone understood or explained the rash de-commits from these highly rated UGA commits? It really feels a lot like when Lawrence and Higgins were committed to us and unexpectedly decommitted.
Perry and Bertrand were likely told to look around to make room for others. For instance, D.J. Daniel just flipped from South Carolina to UGA. The de-commitment of Perry likely made room for Daniel. UGA will still pursue Emery, but he may have legit reasons for wanting to play closer to home. If he commits to a school out of state other than UGA, then I would say there is something about UGA he didn't like, and the "stay closer to home" narrative is phony. Haselwood wants to go to a team that throws the ball a lot. He's also reportedly not satisfied with the level of detail UGA is providing him as to how he will fit into their offense. There's some chatter that UGA has moved on, while others are saying UGA will still pursue him.

I am sure if he does not go to UGA it is because Georgia moved on and not because he picked someone else over them.

Rusty Mansell just posted this on the UGA 247 board...

Posted some things on the Tennessee board, so I dont want to have questions on here about it so I will let you know ahead of time.

There is a GOOD bit of Tennessee being throwing around in Georgia right now with a lot of recruits and some committed elsewhere especially in the 2019 class.

Only one I hear them around a little bit that I think is a major UGA target is Jadon Haselwood.

Just letting you know

Sounds like Haselwood to the Vols...and Pappoe...and Watson...and whoever the F Pruitt and Phil want...
