'19 GA WR Jerrod Means (Pitt signee)

Neither does a star rating, though, or anything else for that matter.

Agreed. He ran an 11.68, 100m in track. That’s pretty darn fast lol. Also, like you said none of that matters. His film shows he has burst speed, hands, and runs good routes. As long as he is coachable he should eventually make an impact.

Not being negative but I have to state that 11.26 100m isn't that fast. Lamarcus Coker ran a 10.2 to put it in perspective.

Slow play Khafre Brown and you sign kids Rutgers wants. Hope he does well though.

Don’t think we slow played Brown, UNC just beat us out. Yeah that sounds weird but hey Baylor just did too. Is what it is.

People defending this are the same ones that defended all the 3 stars Butch brought in.

This one is a serious head scratcher when you had legit high level WRs wanting in for months and then you end up with a google player.

Just doesnt add up.

Just the facts - Even if you just go by ratings, this is LITERALLY the only guy in the entire class rated below an 86 by 247 composite.

Butch's last 2 classes that were fully his (2016 and 2017) totaled 16 kids rated below 86. Plenty of 82s, 83s, 84s.

It's not unreasonable to take ONE stretch take at a position that is currently full anyway. We had 1 single need and it was speed. Now Coach YAC has 2 years to get his skills up to par.

While I think we should wait to see how it pans out. I think the thing that bugs me and maybe many on here is that this was actually a pretty good year for receivers and we were supposedly in on a few good ones. (whether that's true or not i don't know) Just would've thought we could someone with better tape

I agree. But I’ll walk back my comments if he’s a legit 4.4-4.5 guy. And just saw a poster mention our wr coach... he made a living getting kids like this a Memphis. Still not the flash we all hope to see.

Exactly. YAC and new OC will know what we need. CJP interviewed spread guys that thrive with speed, not size. Pruitt has been all over speedsters HARD since the oc search began. We've seen big, tall possession guys here at UT (North, Preston, Malone, etc) while Baylor, OU, and now even Bama, have been going for SPEED. Think Pruitt is getting the hint. Spread + speed kills

I get that. But the guys that got passed iirc didn't want to come camp. Id rather CJP get who he really wants his way, not just taking every in state kid with a good rating, which Butch seemed to do. They have their own board and we have to ride with it. They dont just go build a board on what espn or 247 says.
