I'll tell you what if you don't like the way Bass and his buddies go after every shiny thing you may not want to be on a message board where fans are talking about what shiny things we are getting for our team. Bass doesn't need to own anything except that he cares about the team and gets excited about it. Too bad some people don't want others to get excited.

I'll tell you what. I'll call you guys out any time. Your types does this every year so I don't get caught up in it anymore. A lot of others don't know it. If the coaches feel they have a player they need and can't get or take the ones you guys constantly push then I'll go with Coach David Johnson every time. You guys are like me. A dime a dozen. You guys know very very little. You get shown up every year only to return the next year carrying on like a bunch of 10 year olds.

I'll tell you and your gang again....these are just kids starting out in life...you guys are some of the first head winds they begin to face....they also are good kids with great families that read this trash...The kid makes a decision to give his all for a school and here people are still spouting off this late...

I don't care how many friends you guys have. This is wrong.

I think you are suffering a big case of confusion. I have never in 35 years said anything about any player that chose to wear orange and white except Hurd. I trust these coaches at evaluating talent more than any that I have followed. There are plenty that you can jump on for this, but Bass is not one. He gets excited and gets upset, too. No one was expecting getting a 2* they never heard of on ESD so you may want to not read the comments when that first happens. It's been a long 10 years, and our fans are expecting the next disaster. But call them all out for letting off steam in a recruiting forum just like all other fanbases are doing ...even GA.

I read almost everything on here today, and saw several nasty comments, including this recruit called "garbage", so I can understand this guy's reaction. But I didn't notice that from Bass, either. I can see where people may not like Bass's mood swings, but I don't recall noticing him being insulting or calling names.

Well Jerrod if you or your family read this thread then keep in mind that most of these people are want to be's.
They want to be insiders.
They want to be coaches.
They want to appear to be know it alls and want you to know they are know it alls
They want to be recruiters
They want to be Quarterbacks
The want to be receivers
They want to be O linemen
They want to be D lineman
They want to be first in line
They want to be first to tell you your mistakes
They want to be first to tell you your weaknesses
On and On and ON
For the most part the people on these boards are want to be's and some are has been's from another era.

But Jerrod for you and your family I want to be first to tell you how thankful we are that you chose The Vols. I hope Tennessee can make your and your family proud to be VFL. We want to cheer with you and your family as you run through the T for the first time. We want to cheer for you as you catch your first ball.
I know this will only make you better and know your are better than the has been's and want to be's.
The real people who matter are Family and the Coaching staff and school. Keep your head up, don't turn to your left or right just keep headed for the prize.
We are cheering for you.

lol nope still wrong. Ive been pretty realistic today. as ive said... we slow played some guys and it didnt pay off. get crouch and wright and gray this class will be fine. lot of you guys are kinda ridiculous and i still live rent free in a lot of yalls head :)
