'24 GA WR Mike Matthews (Tennessee)

Matthews starred on both sides of the ball for Parkview on Wednesday night, which was not an easy task early in the season, especially with the Georgia heat factoring in.
“I am definitely not going to say it is easy, but I care about my team and I care about us winning, so I am going to put it all out there on the field for them,” Matthews said of this.

“It has been better,” Matthews said. “It is just good to make a decision after everything I have been through. It really makes me comfortbale to know what school I am going to. Recruiting doesn’t stop and they are still coming after me, but it is not as hectic anymore.”

They only gave him 3 touches with 2 of them being back to back?!? Did he only play a quarter or something?
Run game was working and they had a couple big plays to other players. Kell's secondary is filled with P5 guys and their gameplan was to stop Mike Matthews. They were trying to get in his head all night. He would've had a touchdown but was held. His blocking and taking 2 dbs away from the play created offense for others on his team

Matthews” as a football prospect is that he has been electronically timed at “4.48 seconds in the 40-yard dash, accompanied by a 4.28-second short shuttle.” He’s ranked by 247Sports as the No. 22 overall prospect and No. 8 wide receiver in the 2024 class.

“He will have a chance to put up Jalin Hyatt-like numbers in Tennessee's aerial attack given how he moves and tracks the football,” Ivins wrote.

Again, we got the best WR in the country.

There’s not a WR in the class that is as electric with the ball in his hands nor the combination of speed, ball skills, route running and athleticism.

Honestly, I think he has the potential to be significantly better than Hyatt if he stays healthy.
