Gaetzgate: Gaetz under investigation for being a pedo

What's your take on career military?
Apples and oranges. The concept that someone who's been in a government job for decades must be very capable is a joke. Most of us agree term limits should be a thing yet again and again we seen these dinosaurs held up as noble geniuses because they've gamed a system for 35 years.

Term limits for what? McGee wasn't an elected official.
His career is every bit as admiral as is 99% of career military people.
I've always found the dislike and lack of respect for people who work in the government while admiring and respecting those with military careers to be ridiculous. They should be viewed the same.......good, bad, or indifferent.

Here’s another weak attempt by your TDS infected mind. They were photographed at social gatherings along with numerous other high profile people. This doesn’t prove anything VM.... you’d be as crappy of a lawyer as EL is....

You should know better. There were around a dozen phone numbers for Donald and Melania in Epstein's personal phone book. They were neighbors in Florida and often dined together. Trump was reported at a number of Epstein's sex parties with minor females present. One of them, who was thirteen years old at the time, later filed a law suit against Trump for rape. Trump is accused of numerous sexual assaults, and admitted to gabbing women's genitals in a video recorded interview. He is now a defendant in a law suit alleging rape. No amount of BS can change the fact that Republican support of both family values and Donald Trump is the height of dishonest hypocrisy. So, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

There is nothing "admirable" in being a civil servant. There is nothing similar to being a run of the mill .gov employee and being in the military, even the pogs can sometimes find themselves under fire.

I didn't say "military good", my estimate is 60-75% of the military is made up of people just collecting a paycheck and marking time. However they are still more admirable than civil servants.

I didn't say they were bad. They are no more deserving of respect than any other civilian.

I find this discussion interestingly amusing seeing how I am both a veteran and a current civil servant. Please continue.........

Or less deserving. Same with the military.

Yes civilian .gov employees are less deserving of admiration.

Probably 30-40% of the military is too lazy or stupid to work in the civilian world. At least 75% of civilian .gov employees are too stupid and/or lazy to make it outside of government. Hell we could get rid of 75% of the civilian government employees and our lives would only get better.

I'll disagree with you on the first part about being deserving of admiration, but I'm all onboard with you on the second part.
(we would disagree on the percentages, but who cares)
Some military people suck, some are admirable.
Some civil servants suck, some are admirable.
Some civilians suck, some are admirable.
Some military positions are completely unneeded, some are essential.

All civilian jobs are needed, otherwise there wouldn’t be a job.

bs.....If you don't think there are built in "jobs" in large corporations, you are more naïve than I thought. Have you ever worked in a large corporate structure?

If someone is paying another person in the civilian world they obviously think the job is needed.

I worked a large corporation and over the years the dead wood was thinned out to the point where the place could barely operate. Every regime that came in cut the fat, then they cut muscle and then they cut some more. In my limited view of corporate life and my two brothers who both worked in some form for the government, they had it made.

lol..........
So if you can get someone to pay the salary, the job must be legit? (but this is only true in the civilian world?)

I didn't say the job was legit, just that the payer thinks it's needed. And yes.

I remember in the late 80's early 90's when the GA State government was being "downsized". I know a number of people who went from being state employees to being private contractors.....they did the same thing and made a lot more.
Since they had a civilian job and someone was willing to pay the salary, it was obviously needed.

LOL

The .gov was paying them so no, the job wasn't needed. (Most likely)

I respect them all equally except for elected officials. They make wealth for themselves using our money to make deals that enrich themselves and family members.
