Game Thread: (#11/10) Lady Vols 68 - Kansas 58

These are the plays she is known for at Liberty before her ACL injury if she can be a double digit scorer with Jordan,Tamari, and Alexus that would really help us down the stretch

That was right at 6’6” as well. Going against Tamari in practice has that benefit. Not so scary when you see it every day.

Looking back over all the games yesterday I am very proud of our Lady Vols.

Across the board there were hardly any blowout games yesterday. COVID and the great migration of players in the off season really leveled the field. Not to mention what seems like a massive amount of coaching changes. 2020–21 was a year for change in WBB.

We are trending the right direction to start which is awesome! Defense is going to take teams a long way this season. Lots of low scoring contests. This team is built for toughness and they’re displaying that. Yesterday’s game was a little annoying because we had several chances to bury them earlier, but let them back in it. It was never really in doubt though, we controlled that game from the start.

She's helping us a lot right now. I take your point, could be more upside in the future as she gains confidence that the knee will hold.

Pat never had a team that shot as poorly as this one. Not even close. Kellie has basically turned the program into Rutgers south...

I don't think the reason for the bad shooting is the coach. I could be wrong and it would not hurt if I am, but it just looks like that some of our players are not mentally in the game. They don't seem to see the whole court and don't seem to realized that the player they just went by is still behind them. Maybe I am saying there is a lack court awareness. I have no cure for the players not to be able to consistently hit layups, but the way they miss them looks so discombobulated I would go crazy if I were the coach as many layups we miss. Good teams like Stanford will beat you if you miss layups and free throws. Ask Texas about missed free throw and layups. I just wish that certain players put the team first and don't just throw it up there. Go VOLS

No offense intended, but they say "timing is everything". Putting your comment in the Kansas thread right after we put on a layup clinic with ETSU is making me question if I really am reading this. I was shocked to see a Kansas thread comment at the time already, and of boy, now I have a headache.
