Kansas came into the game shooting 50 percent and shot 31 tonight. They hadn't played anyone like our defense and again our defense was the difference in winning this game.

Darby was our best offensive player tonight ended up with a 20 efficiency. Walker missing 4 free throws playing point guard is tough on the team. Green missed three don't think you will ever see her shoot much higher than 55 to 60 percent she never has.

At the end of the day we are 5-0 and KU was averaging around 85.0 points a game. We held them to 58. I’ll take it . Our defense and rebounding continues to hold on and I’ve got no doubt our offense will come around. Onto the Cowgirls!

She had a really off night. Looked very sluggish. Didn’t want to say anything during the game, but she just wasn’t moving at 100%. She got stuffed several times.

It looks so far like this team is going to hang its hat on defense. That's something at least; defense will certainly get them a lot of wins against most teams you'd find in the sport. But to break through in March they have to figure out what to do on offense. There are teams out there that can and will score, and teams that will match them in rebounding, and those low shooting percentages threaten to put them in holes they can't dig out of. Tennessee has to figure their offense out before they hit those big challenges. Five games into the season and their season average is 37% from the field, 20% from 3, and 54% from the FT line. 54% from the FT line is the biggest problem. They need to be making 3 out of 4 at the free throw line, particularly in the SEC tournament and the NCAA tournament, when games come down to shooting free throws. It's good that they won, but they are going to be under a lot of stress in the post-season if that's how they play. Thankfully, their determination on defense will give them room to work on the problem.

Much better on the turnovers. We had 14 which is around what I had hoped for this game. Would have been even less but we did give it up a couple times when they showed some pressure late. Really need to get better at that.

Tamari didn’t play as much tonight. Their big was in foul trouble from the jump so Kellie rested Tamari a lot. In anticipation for tomorrow I would assume.

When she was in she was in a crowd, there were 3 players around her if she got a touch. Made a couple timely plays though.

She also didn’t have the best matchup. Chatzileonti is a talented player and at 6’3” she had quite a bit of size on Snoop. She did a nice job on her defensively, but couldn’t score over her.

I thought for the minute's Tamari did play, she had solid minutes. 24 minutes with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. Not a bad night. She only shot 5 times...

Yes! Very productive! She just wasn’t on the floor quite so much tonight. Wasn’t really in foul trouble until the end. It was mostly out of reach by the time she picked up a fourth.

Working today so just saw the box score. I've been rough on Darby so want to give her props. And GLV, will take tough wins right now. Seems all of women's basketball has scores that are quite surprising.

Tennessee wins, Tennessee wins, Tennessee wins, The Elevation in Knoxville it a little under 900 feet. The Elevation in Las Vegas is a little over 2000 feet. The girls got gases quick. Coach Kellie Harper had to take the girls out often, this is why she had to sub a lot. As always go Lady Vol's.

She’s a Freshman and is already playing starter minutes, that should tell you everything. She helps the Offense and Defense, and she is better with each game. How is she doing? Very well!
