Notre Dame loss to Northern Illinois and played for a national championship in CFB.
Ohio State loss to one of the worse Michigan teams in years and won the national championship in CFB.
90% of the posters on here take satisfaction in some of the most foolish defeats and a regular season loss to Kentucky is not the end of anything.
If our season was on the line and we had to pick a team to move forward tomorrow and that team had to be Kentucky again I wouldn’t lose any sleep.

One thing the NET system does is set aside emotional responses (feelings) about wins and losses and also recency bias. It scores road losses as less bad than home losses. We'll be judged on our season as a whole. It's not knee-jerk like the polls. I have no idea how the numbers will work out. But this a negative, of course.

I don't know if only the NCAA tourney uses NET. If the SEC doesn't, we'll likely be dinged more.

After this performance id have no problem dropping them out. Losing by 10 is one thing. Losing this way is a whole other.

Fortunately they have time to rectify it.

Nobody said they were taking satisfaction in the loss. You talk out of both sides of your mouth every game, no less than 30 minutes ago you had Lady Vols coming back from a huge halftime deficit. Now you don't care if Kentucky scores a 100 make your mind up.
