Game Thread: #13/10 LSU (23-4, 10-3) @ Tennessee (16-9, 9-4 SEC) 2/25/24 12:00 pm EST ESPN

I do t read lips, how do you know what she said from that clip?
Aparently some people at the game heard it and confirmed what twitter lip readers were saying. They seemed to think it was directed at either KJH or Tess.

It makes perfect sense in the context of how they got Del Rosario and her friend from us. She was taunting over that.

A couple of other non-smack talking points. I agree with a few here who said our posts did well. They have been doing well for quite a few games now, and who else has done a better job against the superstar big ones of SC and LSU. TK altered many shots, made 10 points and got 5 rebounds against one of the top 2 rebounding teams in the country. Rickea also was really good on defense and rebounding, and Puckett held her own as well.
I wish that Spear would have kept her head in the game. She did have much better shots than against SC, but just didn't hit them. A calm Spear would have been much better to have the ball in her hand in the 4th quarter than a panicked Powell. Perhaps Powell bringing it up and then getting Spear the ball. She sees the court better, has fewer turnovers, and can hit her shots once hot. Unfortunately, I think the missed shots got in her head. She also commented earlier in the season that she couldn't believe the UT crowds and noise. I wonder if in some way she feels a pressure about it given her people pleasing tendencies rather than feeling uplifted by it. In any case, she has some learning to do off season and she still is a fine player that has had a couple of off games.

And it's her birthday! Poor Jewel. Good observation, Jewel talked about wanting a bigger stage and it may have been a little big for her. Also, she's definitely in her head about her shooting.

Place was apparently crawling w WNBA scouts today, including the head coach of the LA Sparks himself. I think that might have been part of the reason for Angel's frustration. She didn't do much to change the general perception of her W prospects.

I know you haven't. And won't. In spite of being given lots and lots of evidence to the contrary, including Angel freakin Reese screaming it right in our face on national tv.

I know ya'll think the fact hating is funny and cool and everything, but not having a common reality is very, very damaging.
We got a player driving a Lexus, we had a Top 5 portal class. Losing Del Rosario isn’t the problem especially with no evidence when I can pull up a picture of a Lexus. Can’t say NIL, when we landed experienced players with NIL.

No I’m tired of Jewel getting dunked on bc we won’t play guards… I’m sorry but it’s so easy to guard her when we have 3 forwards in.. they can screen for her and are too slow in all aspects thinking passing moving… I really wish we could’ve had Jewel at the point today to attack HVL or have JP Kaiya and Jewel in at the same time

As you are fully aware, we had just enough to get a couple but not enough to go around for hs recruits.

I give, this is not good for me, and you guys are so locked in to the anti fact world you'll never, ever back down. What a strange world.

Another sickening anti fact diversion, and another really harmful one. This never once for a second hadanything to do with AR's freaking color nor boldness. That it got made into that and then exploited is part of the whole sick episode.
Not to you, but she has a big following and she stays true to her. The Twitter link provided of her with Tess is an example of people liking her style.

I said from the time Wells got hurt Jewel should play more pg. But not sure what the rest even means. Jewel's problems today were most definitely not about who else was on the floor. She just had a really bad game on both ends.

Winning cures all

NIL won’t solve a coach who’s in over her head. Get the leadership right, the rest takes care of itself. Ask LSU

There were more than a couple of schools recruiting Del Rosario hard at the end who thought they were in good shape. I know Dawn also felt good about SC’s chances. I don’t know how she decided on LSU, kids choose schools for many reasons. But all of the implications that she was bought and paid for by LSU is pure speculation until and if such information were to be made public, if ever. Someone just posted in one of these threads a few days ago that JuJu got a cool $750,000 upfront to choose USC…..rumors are rampant on social media and this stuff takes on a life of its own. I am extremely skeptical of most of the stuff posted by quote unquote insiders who can never reveal their sources or provide a shred of evidence.

We play the victim well here when a kid somehow chooses elsewhere. But I’m like you, provide facts. Anyone can say a number.

Who's driving a Lexus? BTW, we got Wells and Spear together for less than LSU paid for Del Rosario.

Cora finally asked the question I’ve been having forever, why they don’t get Rickea the ball.

who is the guy who asked the first question he said that LVs played well enough to win today and asked or said in the next part of his question that they have confidence to play with anyone in the country

What he be smokin' ??

Looks like most people lived her by the comments, I guess the haters are the minority.
Been true for several thousand years that bad, boorish behavior sells. Not new, still sad. And I don't 'hate' AR, I don't know her. But the theatre that makes her rich makes me sick, mostly bc I think it's a horrible example.

Wonder if the Harper's are sitting at the dinner table considering resigning. She loves the program and doesn't want to to harm.the legacy....

Wrong. Nobody is driving a Mercedes-Benz, either.
Really, this is from April 18, 2023

As part of the NIL deal, Jackson, the leading scorer for the Lady Vols this season, will have use of a 2022 Mercedes Benz CLA 250 coupe and also will attach her name and image to Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville’s marketing efforts throughout the coming year

Look at the makeup of USC and LSU and Us

Johnson PaoPao Hall Kitts Cardosa

HVL Williams Johnson Morrow Reese

JP Jewel Puckett Jackson Key

The biggest difference is Hall and Johnson are both very athletic and good ball handlers.. Puckett is physical but not a good ball handler and who do we sub for Puckett? DARBY another bad ball handler.

Jackson plays a pseudo 3rd handler for our team but then immediately goes to the 4 on offense even if we do put her on the other teams 3 on D…

It really stalls our offense not having athleticism on the wing

Kaiya or even Ace could really fix this problem against those type of teams
