What part of that are you struggling with? I've said they're good, they are, therefore I was glad the game was on our court and not theirs when they made that late run. That hard to understand?

This is a Tennessee game thread.
I would bet no other fanbase has the same few posters that care enough about any other opposing team or players when they have a Top 15 team to post about, but would rather put this stuff in a game thread about a mediocre Vandy team following a Top 20 win.
Heck if anyone wants to get off topic Tennessee has a top #1/#2 incoming recruiting class with 3 McDonald’s AAs and some of you barely acknowledge it in any thread.
But tonight, this one is for those LVs getting their 20th win!

I am glad Barker will be gone. She plays a bit too dirty for my liking sometimes, but she also plays hard. is a tough kid, and doesn't hold it against the other team when they play equally as hard.

Officiating was its usual Meth League, pick the nearest wino to call fouls level, but at least the ridiculousness was spread a bit more evenly.

Tonight I learned it is not a walk if you slide ten feet without dribbling.

And a quick 5-0 run with fresh players thanks to some really solid defense. Coach has to recognize sooner in the future on those long live-ball periods tho.

Go to the box score and check the minutes. We had 2 with 26, they had 4 over 33, 3 over 38. With all the ref breaks they can handle it.

What a great game. Love the 11 for 11 Spears. 8/21 on the 3 not bad. Big win over a good team. Always great to beat Alabama in anything. 44/30 Rebounds. As always go Lady Vol’s.

What an incredible asset J Spear is to this team...not just with her play, but with her temperament. She provides such a steadying influence and plays with such a composure. And then she flashes that big smile of hers that tells me she can be intense, but still have fun. And there is not another player on this team that I would rather see take a free throw, or a three for that matter! She is such an impressive young woman and a real credit to Lady Vol basketball. I salute all those who had a hand in raising that youngun'; they can be mighty proud...and grateful!

Bama only had 10 turnovers, but 9 were steals and the LVs converted them into 20 points!

LVs also didn't shoot below 40% in any quarter.

I'm encouraged that we don't have to play to our profile to win games handily. Bodes well for tourney time.

Just going off my eyes: Tennessee didn't have an energy advantage on the court in the middle of the 4th qtr. Alabama went on a preventable run at the end of that stint.

The second we got fresh players in, the defense leveled up. Which is what matters when you're protecting a single digit lead late! But it helped the offense too, as a secondary priority.

Nice win against a quality opponent. 20 wins always seems like a nice milestone in any season. 23 will sound better as all three remaining games are winnable. Louisville took down number 11 Duke while Indiana defeated Ohio State, so there should be a little movement in the polls. Wonder where the LVs will land?

Not really fair. If she had taken the Weathers of back then she would have gotten slammed for recruiting yet another unathletic player. Carly has only really blossomed late in her career.
