Game Thread: (16/12) Lady Vols 74 - (12/21) Texas 70

I'm just here for all the haters that were waiting for that L 🍿

They came to play! I was SO tired of hearing about Texas FRESHMAN they had out and Rae was mentioned like once and her impact.

So with less Kellie is doing more. Maybe just maybe certain posters can give her some credit 👀

Great win! Oh and not bad for a team made up of "mid major" players 😂

I’m realllly hoping our Lady Vols pull this off, but I don’t know if we have enough firepower without Rae. I expect the first quarter or two to be competitive, but I think Texas wins by double digits. I hope I’m wrong. Just trying to temper my expectations. As we all know, Vic’s teams are very well-coached.

Here to eat my crow!! I was so wrong! What a win!

Great interview w Jordan, she must have been watching the same game we were. Just didn't want to lose, found a way, dug it out, never quit. Congratulations to her and may she continue to improve in consistency and good decision making.

Makes me dare imagine if we can smooth the rough offensive edges out, and get Rae back . . .

Big win for KJH. Can't wait to see the vid of the locker room celebration.

Kellie Harper vs Vic Schaefer.

The basketball equivalent of Derek Dooley vs Nick Saban.
Let me be the first to say this did not age well. Which coach is which?

Just kidding, I think Vic is a great coach and I thought Texas would be better. But this was a landmark win for KJH

Also, I hope Texas goes undefeated the rest of the year. Hell of a seeding win for us!

Rae being out might be a blessing in disguise because it has made Horston take that leap that everyone always thought she could take, but feared she would not.

If Rae can come back soon enough to get in proper form we should be really good at the end of the year. I hope Rae heals quickly and well because that is one hardworking kid and I would love to see her hard work pay off with some hardware.

Hard earned win, not a miracle! We played like the better team for all but about 4 minutes in the 3rd quarter.

Def not a miracle win. Their grit determined this win. While it wasn't pretty it counts against a team that moved from #25 to #12... Now texas can go out and win your conference and boost our ratings

It’s a great win today, and Horston showed out today. UT earned that big W. But it was a fortunate win, too. It’s fair to say Tennessee made today’s victory harder than it needed to be. The tepid offensive possessions, turning the ball over on the inbounds play, missing layups, giving up multiple offensive boards in a row, those are all things they need to own and improve on. Glad they won though. Hopeful they can challenge themselves to play with the same intensity but better execution as the season continues.
