Here is the deal. Couch Mulkey said that LSU clinched finishing number 2 in the league. She did not say the number 2 seed. She is correct, LSU will be number two in the league, but if they would lose to us they be tied for #2 in the league with us and we would be the #2 seed since we beat them. If we lose to LSU and Florida wins their last game, we would likely sink to #4 seed because Florida beat us in a tiebreaker for 3rd. All bets are off if we lose, Florida wins, and Ole Miss beats S. Carolina. That would be a three way tie for third with each team being 1-1 against the other teams. It is too late tonight to figure the fall out from that one. In any case, we will be in great shape about everything if we beat LSU (#2 seed, 2nd in conference, and likely host of the first two rounds of the NCAAs).
