I know I am picking on Darby, but her play just seems off. Can't make a 3 and quite a few airballs around the basket with fade aways around the basket.

Just sad to see this program so down with not much optimism for the future.

I’ve never seen her rip someone’s ass when they screw up. Thought maybe some of Pat would have rubbed off.

You can't be a player's friend Coach and do that.... it takes an alpha to do that. You can't be afraid of hurting someone's feelings

After watching tonights game its time to conclude that there is talent on this team but not top 15 talent. Any of the top ten teams will boat race these girls. Outside of RJ none of these players would play for any of the top ten teams. These girls are to short at some positions and to damn slow at other positions. And the basketball IQ is a reflection of the coach. Im sorry but the product just isnt getting better. Its time for a tough nosed basketball high IQ coach that can recruit way better players.

She just cannot make in game adjustments. Does not go after the refs when we are getting bad calls against us. She just does not have that fire you need to light under your players when needed to. I don’t know who the next coach needs to be but it is time to make a change.

There’s plenty of optimism for the future if this continues.. times are different.

I believe people should accept change when their way isn’t working. If this team goes from being ranked preseason #11, to struggling to win non conference and conference games.. then the writing is on the wall.

With coaching changes and the portal.. it only takes one off-season to turn a program around.

Tennessee has the resources to get the best of both. I’m very optimistic about that change coming if the current staff continues to underachieve.

People talking about talent got a serious problem.. Indiana was ranked #9 to start the season and they are less athletic than Tennessee.

Virgina Tech is not a highly athletic or skilled team. Colorado, Iowa, NC State, etc.

Talking about talent is just foolishness. This team lacks consistent coaching and even the basic in-game management that comes with HS coaching.

Tennessee has talent to play with any team.. and anybody watching with basketball knowledge could see they were out coached by both Florida State and Indiana. Was even out coached by Memphis.

Switch the coaching staffs tonight and I’ll bet money that Indiana coach would’ve won with Tennessee’s roster.

Shouldn’t have to be depending on them especially Key knowing she wasn’t going to play much should have taken care of that in transfer portal. Got to have multiple players not just lean on one to win games

@knoxvol52 Under the heading of two things can be true at the same time: Indiana may be five times better than us and our close out three point defense is not good.

Having lived in the Sinai Desert for a year, every Israeli citizen (man and woman) must serve two years in the IDF. I know where there might be a candidate.

Puckett and Striplin need to play with more confidence; especially in the first half.

When you tell your bigs to go up strong: why does that always get translated to shoot the ball like it came out of a cannon. Physics ladies! Use the backboard and change the direction of the ball not crash the glass. Speaking of crashing the glass. Not good! Not sure whom Indiana's bigs coach is. Our staff might want to find out!

I knew I should have written my Thanksgiving Day Prayer instead of going with memory. Coach Knight (may he RIP) (wrote me a letter once about why he used SUNTZUE THE ART OF WAR to teach defense), once said the reason he didn"t join his players in prayer, "God doesn't give a damn about basketball."
That has to be correct!

Side note would take those refs any other game that Tennessee plays . For sure againsted the top top teams. Give refs credit when do their job . That is call it like they see no matter who on the court.

You honestly believe Tennessee has the athletes to compete with South Carolina and UCONN? Your definitely a orange koolaid drinker.

Man UConn got blown out by NC State. You folks act like coaching doesn’t hinder players. It’s on tape! Stop spreading this ignorance about a lack of talent and constantly looking to go back and forth with folks.
Jewel Spear was scoring 20 and 30 pts against ACC teams with far less talent around her for 3 years.
This is a system issue.

I will agree with u on Spear, no reason she should go like 12 mins without a shot. The offense should go through her when Rickea is not there.
