I think so also…..Powell is the one playing at a higher level in the absence of RJ. Wells? Not so much. Wells stat lines are actually pretty bad, esp her shooting %’s, nowhere close to an elite #1 scoring option as stated above by another.
Her shooting %s are quite bad, you're right. But her assist numbers are excellent, in the 94th percentile, and her A/TO ratio is also very good, in the 88th percentile (or at worst, the best on the team aside from a walk-on). By comparison, Powell is at the 71st and 46th percentile. I also think Wells is looking more and more comfortable each game. And while at this point I don't expect her to return to last year's level of shooting while she was at Belmont (e.g., 45.5% from 3), there's no way a career 38% 3-point shooter keeps shooting this poorly.

Tennessee is as capable of catching magic as anyone else. You really never know.

For instance, last season LSU lost only to SC and Tennessee. I think it was back in 2021 that Tennessee upset the heavy favorite South Carolina.

I’ll give Holly Warlick some props here in remembering there was a period when it seemed like South Carolina couldn’t count on Tennessee being an automatic win, as the Lady Vols knocked ‘em off at least two or three times when the Gamecocks were heavy favorites.

Of course beating Ohio State, without our all-American, will take some outstanding play and a lot of magic, but it isn’t impossible. Nothing is impossible.

This game is a must win for TN. To be at home and lose games like this one is unacceptable, especially back to back. With or without RJ, we have enough talent to win. The problem is, will the talent show up when we need it consistently?

I said we would go 1-3 over this tough 4 game stretch, with our only win being OK. I hope they prove me wrong today.
We could probably win today if Jill shows up for a game and everyone else plays to their last games standards. If we don't win the rebounding then we didn't show up they don't rebound very well. They make it up by turning you over with the press so will we take care of the ball or have 20 turnovers.

imho, Hollingshead has been the biggest disappointment so far. No effort, no defense/blocks, no offense, bad hands!

what's the over/under on how many times Puckett hits the floor today? She gets knocked off her feet more than the rest of the team combined...
she is an alpha player

Well, what if they are? it sure beats constantly harping about how sh!tty we are and feeling nothing but hopelessness when I think about the program I've loved for four decades. Some of us do still hope for the best and try to be generally positive. Is that okay with you?

Man i wish Rickea was back already.......
Probably not ready today, but hoping she will be ready for MTSU or were going to lose that game. They are a solid team and we will have trouble winning that game on a neutral court.

Must win this early in the season ?? Exactly what happens if they don't win? Nothing! They will play the next game and Kellie will lead them out.

Depends on how you view nothing. Each loss probably equates to smaller crowds. So probably a good game to win to save apathy setting in on more.

No such thing as a must win game in December. You don’t win championships in regular season.

It seems like Wells has struggled with nerves at times. I don't hate this as this allows her to watch Ohio State's press from the bench for a bit before settling into the game.
To me she has been much better in the starting lineup. More confident

Record sure. Fans showing up…win the bigger games if you want big crowds at cupcakes. That’s why I stated depends on “how you view nothing” it’s not always about the wins but also about fans coming back.
