Game Thread: (5/6) Lady Vols 84 - (19/20) Kentucky 58

Kentucky leads the league in scoring and have four players averaging double figures. What they lack is size. As long as we can get points in the paint and outrebound them we should be fine.

Nice call, NoBackBoard!

According to the radio broadcast, Tennessee had 21 offensive rebounds and 29 defensive boards. Sorry I forgot the number for points inside, but it was impressive.

(My brain hasn't been good remembering numbers since they did away with Roman numerals. Guess I'm better at spelling XIV than ciphering it.)

I’ll get flack for this, but I absolutely HATE that so many women head coaches end up feeling like they need to hire their husbands in order to make their lives work.
That is on way the family can stay together and he husbands don't make that much money anyway. I have no problem what so ever if the husband draws a small salary. In fact, I think it is a really good idea.

I've always thought it was neat that the hubby had no problem being second fiddle to the wife. No question Kellie is the boss on the job and he's her employee. Takes a secure man to do that.

Also, as stated above, if both want to coach, its the only way to keep the family somewhat together during the season. So important w small kids like the Harpers have.

Would have had to have been with a whole different mindset. Howard is the antithesis of the current LV program.

On the other hand, maybe she wouldn't be without that chip on her shoulder from not being recruited here. Who knows... Deriving motivation from negative experiences is a tricky thing. For her sake, I hope her focus is on the future, not the past.

In the larger scheme of things, I guess she's KY women's basketball's Chris Lofton.
