Also I'm still really disappointed in SC that they blew off the handshake line, esp w our kids showing the class thru tears to still line up. I'm thinking Dawn didn't realize they did that in the pandamonium and will correct her team and apologize to Kellie.

Also, just to make myself feel worse, I watched the lucky bank shot vid a few times, RIckea had tentatively guarded Raven after the inbound and then simply didn't react to Kamilla. Not sure she could have gotten there enough to make a difference, but there it is. Now, ya'll have some fun at Rickea's expense, not Kellie's. BC it was in no way Kellie's fault.

Kellie said in the presser she knew she had one and Dawn didn't have any and so didn't call one for exactly that reason - so they couldn't call a play. Of course, in retrospect, they should have. RIckea was kind of on an island, was guarding Raven who was a legit 3 threat and simply didn't react when the ball went to Kamilla. It was not Kellie's fault.

Truth to tell, it was the two missed free throws.

What a game to highlight both the massive strengths and still there weaknesses of this team and staff - on the positive side, despite all of the adversity this year, the ups, downs, injuries, tough losses...Harper has not lost that locker room and those ladies played their absolute hearts out for her and each other and the Lady Vol brand and all of it. Never gave up when most teams likely would have. Held each other up during the heartbreak. Positive culture on full display.

Also the big picture stuff has moved in such a better direction. Early in the year the defense was awful. Now here we are, giving SC fits (for 3 quarters). Offense looked great (for 3 quarters), Rickea and Jewel working off of each other, role players hitting timely buckets...such vast improvement. They took the long way, but this is the team we were all hoping to see this year.

But the nitty gritty super specifics at the end fall apart and putting 40 minutes together is still a challenge.

Lots to be proud of...and I'm so hoping for the same energy and fight in the NCAAs...go Lady Vols!

Nah Dawn had already gone up for the postgame tv while they were dog piling. I believe if she hadn’t she would have made them line up. I don’t think it was malicious but it was a real lapse to keep our poor kids just standing there. Then our team just left.

The fan base have to be realistic, it was a lucky shot that just happened to go for a player who has never made a three. Sometimes things like that happens. I can't blame the Ladies or the coaches for that shot. Let’s look at the positives, this team never gave up even when they were over 21 points behind they refused to give in. I just want them to play every game at this level. Well done Lady Vols.

Cardoso said she shoots them all the time in practice. They pretty much gave her a practice 3 pointer.
