Lol I hope she meant she USED to be an Auburn fan pre being admitted into the University of Tennessee or she would be committing treason but ik her parents are huge Auburn fans at least it’s not Alabama

I mentioned she had poor form on all of her shots when I first saw her and everyone jumped down my throat about how much she scored in high school. But you can't just throw the ball up and go get the rebound at this level.

She needs to be Rae's shadow and do all the same drills because she is athletic enough to be really good if she can develop good fundamentals. She is really, really raw with a huge upside... but a long ways to go to get there.

Until then she will have to be a pest on defense, score where she can, and go hard for the rebounds.

It's freshman year. She's probably not going to be a significant scorer without a concentrated off-season program to learn how to score. Maybe she'll get better for next year.

Take away Wynn and we are at 78% free throws tonite.

Good to see you continue to be consistent in taking negative gratuitous shots at Kellie for no particular reasons, especially so since the Stanford loss.

youcancallmeAl, you and Rickster are doing your part, and I appreciate it. I am so sick of seeing snarky comments in every freaking thread, and it seems like every thread becomes about that particular poster, instead of what the thread is supposed to be about, like even now. No, I don’t want to discuss that poster, and I understand the ignore feature. As Rickster said, why is that person still being allowed to post here when he goes against the principles of posting in a Lady Vol fan forum.

Darby is a fundamentally sound and good player to have. She isn't a great player as a sophomore, but she adds to the team. When she is in there on offense, the other team has to respect her shooting and she will always draw a defender away from the others, allowing someone else to score if she can't score. And she defends and rebounds and passes.

I was surprised she played so poorly against ETSU, but that just speaks to her complete lack of consistency...

Respectfully, this is not really accurate. Pat was at some practices and most of the games Holly's first full year, but she was not involved in coaching. For better or worse, everything that happened that year was on Holly. Pat declined more than most people realized from February 2013-November 2013 when that game at Chattanooga happened. I could give you a few examples, but I'd prefer not to out of respect to her.

She was honestly less involved in her last season as head coach than most people are comfortable talking about. It was obvious to people around the program by the start of SEC play that it was going to be her last year, which is why if you look back at my old posts, I was so aggressive in encouraging people to come to games to see her coach down the stretch.

The fact is she wasn't a good shooter in Australia. I remember when Holli signed her and she got ballyhooed as a 3 point shooter but I searched the stats and found nothing to back this up. She can't help it that she has been misrepresented or that she was recruited by us. I appreciate her improvement in defense and rebounding. A shooter she never will be.

I have absolutely no problem with her effort and attitude. She is not taking anyone's spot since we are not signing full classes so all you can do is cheer for her and thank her for being a good teammate. But at the same time, like you say, it is unfair to put expectations on her that are baseless.
