Does anyone know why dye is not able to play 30 minutes like the starters? she seams to me get winded. how many minuets did she play for troy? dye needs as many shoots as horston and rae. When rae gets back

The Troy coach apparently uses the platooning approach, asking players to go HARD for just a few minutes at a time before subbing them out to rest. So, my guess is Dye’s brain and body are conditioned to expect a break after a few minutes. Hopefully she’ll catch up soon.

I agree with you 100% on this, And at the same time a game like this ETSU with less talent and athletic ability should be a good practice game for her and regain confidence in knocking down 3`s . Now with that being said can she shoot lights out and defend against the more talented teams ? to be continued. Like i said before it`s not her fault she is in Difficult position right now and ask to play a position she is not comfortable playing the 2g. Played the wing in HS.
I watched her against Stanford and she moves her feet pretty good. She seems to understand what to do on defense. If she just had an extra inch or two and just a bit quicker. She seems to have a high basketball IQ.

I see lots of potential in Striplin
her opportunity is today!

  • Recorded a double-double in all 25 games as a senior, including 10 triple-doubles and a quadruple-double.

I would love to see Kaiya, Karoline, Brooklyn, Keyen, Jessie and Emily get some good minutes tonight. Maybe tonight is the night Jessie exorcises her shooting demons, Kaiya shows us an outside shot, Karo locks down the middle and provides some offense and rebounding to boot, Brooklyn runs the point efficiently and sinks some threes, and Emily shows us that nice hook shot.

Not saying that we need to get fancy or make immediate drastic changes, but the next two games also provide great opportunities to tweak our offense. More penetration and kick-outs, more screening action. Just better shot selection and ball movement in general. More touches means more overall involvement and enthusiasm and wears out the opponent.
It will be a layup fest and block party.

Rather than throwing up a lot of off balance shots on offensive rebounds, it woud be great if Tennessee could kick it to an open man or look for someone taking a path to the basket.

Unless Striplin and Wynn become more complete and competent players, this squad will not become a team to compete for any type of championships...These two ladies have not lived up to the expectations many of us (especially me) had for them...

It's time ladies.

Omg they’re freshmen it’s way too early to make that statement. Wait until their junior year.

If we have to wait til their junior year then they shouldn't been picked.now some players might not pick the game up their freshmen year ok granted but work hard on everything this off season and if it's still not working in their sophomore season then that's cause for concern

Jessie could afford to take an extra beat before letting her shot fly. She is rushing to get the shot off when she doesn't need to.

They all do that. Key's first shot was rushed, and the girl she is playing against is not threat to block her shot. She can play under control and doesn't have to beat ETSU to the punch.
