Yeah, I’m confused with her PT, she seems to bring a bunch of energy when she is in and she looks good to me. I’m no coach but I bet if she was given minutes she would produce. She has a college ready frame.
No telling why she stayed on the bench against Auburn. I suspect there was a reason other than playing time earned or match up situations.

I expect to see a monster game from Horston tonight after her comments after the Auburn game, and she has size on Arkansas guards. She just needs to stay mentally tough, which I believe she has improved at this year. TK also needs to keep her head level and stop letting physical play get in her head.

I’m excited for the game today. Really glad we are back at home.

This is a big test for this team, and for this coaching staff. The last decade games like that Auburn game have shortened the life expectancy of many a Lady Vol fan. During the Holly years our favorite trick was to add insult to injury after an embarrassing loss.

This team needs to buck that trend today. Right now.

Don’t want to see them press and overplay trying to get that Auburn game back. But I do hope to see them play focused, together and with a strong desire to win on both ends of the floor.

Arkansas is not a high pressure team defensively which bodes well for us. They cannot guard our size as we saw in the first matchup, and they will not get away with all the holding they did in Fayetteville this evening.

They do have Barnum back but she really is not moving around very well. She is limited defensively and on the glass still with her knee. Whomever she is guarding needs to take her to the rim because she cannot guard without fouling right now and does not have much elevation off that knee.

Offensively Arkansas has really come on the last few weeks though. Their chemistry finally looks better. I think Davis entering the portal sorted some issues for them and they got focused on basketball again. Their Freshman Spencer is playing really well and is a talented scorer. Their shooters have found their touch as well. They were able to spread out LSU the other night and torch them from 3. Once they spread them out they got some good looks at the rim. Paint points were 30 to LSU and 26 to Arkansas. For us to win that needs to be more like 45-15.

Defensively we have to get matched-up in transition and get out to shooters. Have to hope Wolfenbarger does not find her shooting touch tonight. Helped in Fayetteville that she was laying bricks all evening and Tamari never had to close hard on her and could stay back a bit.

This is just a brutal week for the LVs. I always thought Arkansas was going to be the trap game. I usually wear pretty strong colored orange glasses but I think Arkansas wins pretty easily tonight. I think this sets up a slippery slope where we could easily lose to a good FL team (On the road this weekend) and then another road loss @Uconn to start next week. I think it’s honestly about a 50/50 likelihood that we lose three straight as it is for us to win the next 3 straight. I think the fate of the season hangs on this week. Can’t afford to have our confidence and seeding shattered after such a brilliant start to the season.

Prediction: Arkansas 77, Tennessee 64

I doubt she has caused any issues, she looks like a 100% type team Player and no issues with her, it’s curious

Agree, if she was out for something it was likely an injury or concussion protocol. Cannot see Karo having a disciplinary issue unless she slept through class or something.

I’ve wondered if we didn’t have an awful practice the day before though. Kellie didn’t play the bench much at all and what we did see wasn’t good. She pulled them pretty fast.

Miles has been averaging 20+ minutes most games and only played 11 against Auburn.

The way Kellie saved that last timeout almost (ALMOST) made me think she wanted them to lose that game cause of their turnovers.

“Won’t take me seriously in practice? Fine, I’m not winning this one for you.”

Kellie won this team several tight games early in the season and managed them really well. For some reason against Auburn we saw none of that. Was almost like she wanted them to flounder but I highly doubt that was the case.

My biggest fear is the Auburn loss turning into 4 in a row. Just screams “Lady Vol basketball” to fall apart in February.

I’m as big a fan as they come but am very nervous for this week. Tonight really sets the tone for how the next two games go IMO.

I don`t think this is 50/50 you have one team that don`t play any defense in Arkansas and the other in Tennessee that plays defense. At some point you need to make a stop and Arkansas is not that type of team. All they do run and gun no defense at all. Tennessee 80 Arkansas 62 We can agree to disagree.

I’d feel better about things if we had played any defense at Auburn. Instead we loafed around and waved out hand at open 3 point shooters. Let a player like Hughes go off on us.

Arkansas has outscored their last three SEC opponents by an average of 25 points, including a massive 24 point win over top 12 LSU in their last game. Defense isn’t going to win this game. It will be determined by whether or not TN can score.

And while I think your prediction of TN scoring 80 is high…a team could have scored 80 against ArKansas in 3 of their last 5 sec games and still lost the game. That‘s how good this Arkansas offense is.

Absolutely. I think we’re more likely to lose to Arkansas than UConn. I can see us winning all three, or losing all three. Realistically, 2-1 this week would be a fantastic outcome.

I agree we hit a wall in the defense department in that game at Arkansas. But i`m sure KJH had them watch a lot of film on that. So i feel good about this game tonight.

Yes, and I meant Auburn not Arkansas. We played pretty good defense at Arkansas. The other night was our worst defensive output of the season.

2-1 is what I hope for as well. And I really think we need to win both SEC games just can’t afford to lose many more to teams outside of the top of the SEC. We could manage with a loss to SC or LSU but any additional losses to bottom half teams will tank our NCAA seeding.

Losing to UCONN on the road would be mostly a wash. Still not ideal but it would hurt way less than a loss to Arkansas at home.

This becomes a must win for us from a competitive standpoint.

I worry tremendously because I saw this as a trap game and prior to the AU loss.

That said, I don’t think the LVs will give up on the season so I think we win a tight one.

The Lady Vols lost forward/center Keyen Green to an ACL injury suffered in their Jan. 23 win over Georgia, and that disappointment seemed to impact them on Thursday at Auburn. But that alone doesn't explain their most baffling loss of the season to a Tigers team that had dropped 23 consecutive conference games. The 28 points Tennessee allowed off turnovers hurt a lot. This week will challenge the Lady Vols, who have to bounce back quickly against a surging Razorbacks team that has won four of its past five and must then travel to Florida and Connecticut.

Its all going to depend on Key staying out of foul trouble. We are elite contenders with her in the game (not playing scared) and we’re average without her.

Sorry, I'd rather see the loss to Arkansas and a win vs UConn. I think SEC champ is unlikely with SC and LSU to close the season, and really think this will be their best chance against UConn in some time.

No way. Lose to Arkansas and you can kiss an SEC championship goodbye.

To me that’s worth way more.

Just because it’s unlikely doesn’t mean you just forget about it and throw it away.
