I haven't seen Iowa yet this year, but their field goal percent is amazing (almost 50% as a team). They will likely have a much bigger crowd than the Lady Vols, as their fan base travels better than anyone right now. I thought that might change with Caitlin gone, but I notice the boxscore from one of their games against a very weak opponent showing a sellout of about 15,000. As I was building a bit of sweat as I was reading their stats, I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that they are turnover prone. Over 15 a game! That plays right into our strength.

Iowa doesn’t have CC, but the returning players have been in a lot of big game environments. This seems like a bigger game for our team and staff. It’s our first game away from FCC.

I think if we shoot better and keep up the defensive intensity and rebounding, we win. I think this could be our best game of the season so far. I’ve been saying this team is saving its hot shooting for the road. Don’t think it can’t get any worse, so here’s hoping.

I mean just the odds are gonna catch up soon and we're gonna have that big day. Jewel and Sara are due.

We've had hot streaks, like the 2 nd qtr the other night. And we just need one or two to shoot it consistently a whole game.

I said to my friend the other night that Jewel's two threes seemed particularly huge to me. They seemed to get us rolling. Sara? I have a gut feeling she'll find the inside of the nets against Iowa. I would love for her and Jewel and Ruby to get back on the scoring track.

We're only 6 games in and have a long way to go in learning all the pieces Kim will be gradually adding to her game plans, but we've had a good start and are probably ready for take another step up the ladder tomorrow. I see it as a six-rung ladder, with the last rung leading to post-season play. After tomorrow night we'll go to the second rung. Let's go!!!

If we play any kind of decent basketball game we'll win this game tomorrow. Were more talented than they are and a lot quicker. They certainly have more discipline and better shot selection. Play more under control with an understanding of what they are trying to do on offense. Probably don't win if we put up 35 threes and make 9 don't think that will be good enough. Just to many shots to score just 27 points. Were still free lancing on offense and even with all the subbing don't seem to have a forty minute gas pedal. We let up to many possessions on defense in the Florida St game. We didn't make Latson work hard enough to get the ball or prevent her from taking easy shots. . Were going to be a really good team just don't know how long it is going to take us to get there. I'm hoping for a complete game tomorrow. The Florida State game was a tale of two halves. First half we played one of our best halves of the season and second half the absolute worst of the season. Kim likes to see the team play like they did in the first half of that game and act like they are ten behind starting the second half. Intensity for forty minutes is the goal were still trying to get there. I will tale 45 percent from the field overall and 35 from the three every game we play coupled with about 15 free throws and with those numbers I say we win most of the games we play.
