Please. Do not confuse me as being a fan of Jan.
I’d give her a pass on this particular indiscretion. If it truly is an element of her core values, it will tell quickly as her recruiting falls off.
Since you asked, I think there is a middle ground between "just harmless coach speak" and "pitchforks and torches."I believe we may be overthinking this one a bit. Are we gonna sharpen the pitchforks and light the torches?

You are correct this will change the game if the Lady Vols win 20+ IMO. At the same time I say a lot of teams will not be able to do this style. You need to have 10 players that are capable of giving you 15+ minutes of quality D1 ball. These players need to be athletic and hard workers and in top condition. There are far to many ppl, I'm talking coaches and players that are not up to putting in the work. It is not an easy system, it takes a lot of buy in and a lot of determination. Very proud of these girls and coach's for giving their all and the hard work they put in the off season.Kim is changing the game and style of play for women’s basketball. Other teams have to change their approach to Tennessee and not the other way around. Like the fast paced offense of Oregon under Chip Kelly of running plays under 17 seconds, never heard of…now it’s part of college football.
And you need a coach that can teach this system. You can’t just decide to play this way. Kim has been doing this her whole life. Her dad made her a believer. He was well known in West Virginia and won several hs championships. He was also her assistant at Div 2 Glenville st.You are correct this will change the game if the Lady Vols win 20+ IMO. the dichotomy started in my Dad's day...I remember hearing him say that teams had to have a white QB bc they were better at snap decisions,,,sigh.
Then along came Doug Williams and a black QB finally won a superbowl. I always felt Doug Williams opened the door in football,,in the same way that Jackie Robinson opened the door for baseball...Next up was Randall Cunnningham, then the door busted wide open for black QB's
We can be proud that the Vols have led the SEC on two important fronts: the capability of black QBs and the importance of women's athletics overall.
