Game Thread Lady Vols at Alabama

So they try to make up in the last 35 seconds the effort they didn't give in the previous 35 minutes. (And if you think that is harsh, just think about the offensive rebounding.)

For all yall who hate DD and accuse her of being selfish, look at what we would look like if we didn't have her, we would probably be worst than Vandy without DD and if she is out any significant amount of time we could possibly kiss the tournament goodbye (although we'll probably get in based on our name and because we draw fans kind of like Rutgers did a few years ago when they shouldn't have been in the tournament but they were because of their past play)

You don't have to keep defending DD. Anyone that knows basketball knows she's an asset to this team.

I remember when a Tennessee road game would be a sellout. Tennessee would have more fans at the game than the home team, even when playing one of the SEC cellar-dwellers like Alabama. Now the fans are just as disinterested as the players wearing orange.

The attendance says more about Alabubber than it does Tennessee.

No doubt the coach of Bama is a local!! She may sound like a farm girl on that interview but guess what she got it done .....

There will be a lot of head scratching tonight. If I were the coach I'd be ashamed as to how much I'm making and can't coach up a team to win know we are playing for NCAAT seeding against a team that will be staying home. Maybe she should stick around after the game and wash the jerseys like Pat did back in the day. Shameful

65-57 final score.

Alabama dominated the boards, 53-38 including 22-10 on the offensive boards.

I'm sure it was tough for the LVs with Diamond's injury and what I'm sure was their concern for their teammate, but the loss still counts and will hurt them in the SEC standings. This is a very bad loss, and I'm wondering if Diamond is out for an extended period, will they be able to recover.

Nared was abysmal tonight...

Only two weeks ago both men's BB and the LVs were flying high, with huge wins over UK and SCAR and a chance at a great postseason run. Both have splatted like bugs on the windshield.

Mickey Dearstone is throwing the players under the bus in his postgame interview with Warlick. And she as usual says she doesn't have an answer

Knowing how we have been with injuries around here under the Holly Era (Izzy, Massengale, & Reynolds last year) Diamond is probably done for the year

Our players have no excuse. We have seen them win against Stanford, ND and SC so what's the difference in those games. They are not mentally strong at all.
