I don't think so. Auburn is unranked but top 25 RPI. This was an ugly loss but Auburn is by no means a bad team. Could've really used this road win though to boost the resume.

Come on. This is Vandy at home. At least Auburn is a good team.

They should be able to beat Vandy just by showing up.

This is the way we've always played under Warlick. We underachieve, we play badly for the most part, and then occasionally we mix in a nice win as we saw with the ND game. But mostly we are bad...that's the important point. And it's not going to change.

The story of this game was our 22 turnovers and terrible defense. We shot 46 percent, which ordinarily would be great--but auburn shot 50 percent and took 13 more shots (owing to all of our turnovers). Difference in game. Who can actually get upset any more at our performances? This has been going on for years.

I wonder why this game started so early--6:00 p.m. start is bizarre.

I've been a Holly supporter all the way but it's about time we pursue someone who can get every little ounce out of the players. This is embarrassing and ridiculous. I'm not even interested in watching anymore games bc i'm tired of getting angry.

What chaps my ass is they gave up a 17 point lead then laid down like lazy dogs and just gave up..Auburn is a good team, but Tennessee had more than enough talent to win this game comfortably

These girls have zero pride. They need a coach that has to constantly motivate them bc they don't have any self motivation.

Reynolds is a senior. She shouldn't need that much help. She would stupidly pick up her dribble then fire a pass in desperation to the other team. That's pathetic from a senior point guard. Middleton can't dribble or defend, Jamie looked like she couldn't care less tonight and Diamond disappears for stretches trying to be a team player and unselfish. Russell was the only one with heart tonight. Deshields tried, but too little, too late. The biggest fault I have with Holly tonight was playing Dunbar instead of Nunn. Kort hasn't hit a bucket from outside in forever.

I don't think this loss was due to lack of motivation. They played hard, but could have benefited from.some coaching when they couldn't break the press.

It wouldn't be a shock if this team misses the tourney-- not for lack of talent, but because they play so inconsistently and tend to not handle adversity well. Not getting much help from the bench, so when the starters are off, the team collapses down the stretch.

They could miss it, but would really need to stink it up against teams worse than Auburn. The wins against UK and Vandy on the road gave them a head start in SEC play to give them a bit of a cushion.

Some say the gals were motivated tonight.... and showed heart and effort....

and we lost by 18, outscored by 32 points after a 14-0 start.....

I sure hate to think what the final would have been had we not brought our spirit and effort

Absolutely-- they should squeeze in. But they could lose to any SEC team on a bad night and end up with a losing conference record. The LVs will get the benefit of the doubt, but with their wildly inconsistent play, it's not impossible that the wheels could come off.

Still sitting here shaking my head. I know I won't be able to sleep tonight I will be playing basketball all night. I just can't believe what I saw tonight. I should have known better than to get my hopes up. When am I going to learn? All the analysts are talking about it. 1 big step forward one giant step backward.

My sentiment as well. I am not sure we win enough to have a winning record in the SEC!! Home games are not guarantees and the away games will be losses. Mark it down. :gun::gun:

I'm right there with you. I shouldn't get so mad and upset over a ball game but this one really got to me. Going to be hard to settle down and go to sleep.

You know its foolish for us supporters to get sick to our stomach over the play of young adults in a basketball game. By the way I do the exact same thing and I wish I did not.

I think they could go 8-8 and still get in like last year if they play well enough in the SEC Tourney. What might hurt them is that I don't think the SEC is gonna get as many teams in as they did last year so they really are going to have to beat who they should the rest of the way. The voters seem to have lost faith in them so they gotta pick it up.

They should win their next 2 and they might play up a bit for South Carolina but I can't see them winning that one. This team is so erratic it's hard to forecast out any further than that. They finish top 8 in SEC I think they are in. I can't see more than 8 SEC teams getting in this year.

I called this as a loss at the start of SEC play, so I can't say I'm that upset. Auburn was a tough matchup and playing at home. Not surprising in the least.
