Florida is a really bad team.

Tennessee is lucky that we got Diamond and they don't.

Offensive sets for the LVs is a mystery to me. I just don't see any kind of movements with or without the ball that suggest Holly has drawn up a play.

TN beats Florida but I don't feel good about what I just witnessed by them.

Mercedes must be sick. I don't think she had 5 rebounds.

Jaime plays like she rather be somewhere else.

Holly doesn't play Kortney and puts Nunn in for a couple of minutes.

Glad they won but......

Closer than expected-- but any SEC road win is a good win. Wouldn't have wanted to play another 2 minutes, though.

Were a terrible road team Florida may be the worst team in the SEC and they were making a game of it late but to little to late.

Nared was guarding Williams in the first half and she was destroying Nared. In the second luckily she was in foul trouble and Diamond got a couple stops on her but also fouled her three times.

TJ, their offense looked good in the first Q. Lots of ball movement and set up some wide open jumpers and inside looks.

I don't have anything to say for the other 3Qs...

The good: This was arguably our best offensive performance in two years, and it was certainly DD's best shooting/offensive performance as a Vol. More particularly, we made 7 treys in this game--and they were the difference. We are typically a bad three-point shooting team, which is one reason we struggle so much offensively.

The bad: We weren't very good defensively, and, like all of Warlick's team, we simply are not able to sustain good play. We have good stretches, sometimes very good stretches, and then we go stupid and make terrible decisions, lose the ball, etc. and our lead shrinks. The Vols should have won this game by 25 points at least. I think we were leading by 16 in the first quarter--and then bumbled around the last four minutes and the lead at the end of the first quarter was 8. We make a lot of fundamental mistakes. On the play Reynolds got hurt, Russell was wide open on the pick and roll and Reynolds was looking at her shoes or something, didn't make the pass and then got sandwiched by two florida players. Make the easy play. Russell is not a good defender---she is constantly chasing the opposing player away from the paint--dumb, that is what the opponent wants--and when she is in the paint her ball awareness is not good.

But any road win is good for this team. Nice offensive night. Moving on.

Diamond has in the last several games reached her five star status. She has played really well on both ends of the court. I hope she stays for her senior year she is finally becoming the player we expected her to be.

Well, we win and I see the same old comments.

Some observations from only my point of view. Officiating was egregious, again. This happens across all college sports and they are actually paid for this. Ball off Florida at least 7 times and ball given to Florida. Officials losing control of the game and allowing too much physical play resulting in injuries. For the past 15 years, this seems to be a coaching point with Florida, Vanderbilt and Alabama. Play hard, play physical and hurt someone. Undercut all you want. "LV fans" giving up the game from the beginning and putting up the same old (tiring) complaints against Holly and a few select players. Some good stats and some bad. We got out rebounded badly but a number of over the backs weren't called. My biggest complaint would be about the SEC idiots calling the game. They always seem to be for whoever the LV's are playing. Lastly, Holly is the coach and will continue to be the coach. For the wannabe coaches, apply for the position. Get your name in the hat for the future. LV's win!
