Let's just hope we can learn from this loss. I didn't get to see the game but tracked the play-by-play and it looks like we competed hard and made a lot of big shots. Onward and upward....
The LVs earned this loss. No excuse for how poorly most of the team played. It will keep them out of the Top 16 tomorrow, but they can beat Mizzou and aTm and get back on track. They could just as easily lose to Mizzou and aTm, though. You never know who's going to show up to play.... and who's going to take the night off.
Unless they lose more games they shouldn't (and MSU, TAMU, and MIZ are acceptable losses), then they are in. Beat Alabama. Beat Arkansas. Beat Florida. Play tournament.
You're crazy of you think otherwise.
Acceptable losses? There's no such thing as an acceptable loss. TAMU and MIZ both lost today.
Maybe because that player couldn't stay on the floor and was having a crap day. Don't you think that might have had something to do with it. Jaime could have won the game in regulation but she missed the free throw. It just wasn't her day.Well...put it this way...the head coach says she runs plays for Diamond and Mercedes to get them good looks...how about doing the same for a player that really has been the MVP for this team so far this season?
And uconn never loses a game to a lowly team because they're tired or it's their third game in seven days. That, my friends, IS coaching. The excuses some of you make for Holly and certain players are a joke!
Geno benched Gabby Williams in the second Quarter yesterday because he felt she wasn't given her all and she responded he didn't care about his short bench, he looked to send a message and yet we sit here and defend poor play and poor coaching decisions.
As a lady vol fan all of these years I have never felt like I have to settle like I am doing now.
The expectations are set high and losing to lowly teams are not of the Lady Vol standard.
