Game Thread Lady Vols at Kentucky

Lol. Wow. So, they called the foul on Graves that was actually a charge and they had the benefit of replay to overcome their incompetence. Then, somehow the basket counts AFTER the foul? So, you can get called for the foul and allow that player to pass and score? I admit I haven't played competitive basketball in many years, but I don't think the rules have changed that much.

WTF!!!!!! One girl had the charge/block... then another girl shot... and they got both the foul and the basket. That has never happened in the history of basketball because the rules do not allow it.

WTF!@@W#%%^&&$$&

Surely I must not understand what they called. The announcers cannot be right.

Looks like the same Refs that show up when the men Vols play at Rupp. That call was wrong they even looked at it on the monitor.

Was that really a 1 and 1 after calling the basket good? You can't do that--if you count the basket and call blocking, it's one free throw, not one and one. There is no such thing in basketball--at least I've never seen it. And it should have been charge to begin with!

Why did Holly still have Graves in the game late in the half? That was very dumb. Now she's got three fouls! Is Harrison playing? Is Massengale. With Williams now down with a hurt ankle or knee, there's no way we can win this game, I'm afraid. Not enough ball handlers.

Officiating should NOT affect the final outcome of the game! Come on Lady Vols, beat both the Cats and the officials!!!!

Were gonna have to beat eight to win today. Were not gonna get an even break on the calls.

They need to fire this officiating crew at half time. That is one of the worst half of officiating I've ever seen. How on earth does the bucket count if it was after the foul which wasn't even close to being a defensive foul. I'm so damn mad now I want to break something.

Are you watching this Hart? If you're not on the phone with the SEC office on Monday about this officiating, then you're a bigger douche than the officials!!

I can understand missing the charge/block call since there is no consistency with that particular call. However, I don't know why they allowed the basket to count. The sheer incompetence of SEC officials this year in both men's and women's basketball is astounding:banghead2:.

Graves' second "foul" came out of absolutely nowhere. And, then they erroneously allow a basket that happened after her "third" foul.

I guess they're saying the shot was out of her hands before the foul happened. IMPOSSIBLE. There was only .1 seconds on the clock when she shot. What are these refs names?

How can you do that when the foul occurs before the pass? I have never heard of such.

Great comeback. I hope we have enough to finish. I'll bet Simmons comes out hotter than a grilled wildcat!

Cameron Inouye has now been on crews that have been involved in the two worst calls in women's basketball that I have seen in the past ten years.

In the Minnesota-PSU game, the refs spent 7 minutes reviewing an elbow thrown by a PSU player only to rule that the review (which occurred immediately after the ball was inbounded) was too late and therefore they couldn't assess a foul.

The call at the end of the half to award Kentucky a foul and the basket by a different player should be forwarded to the SEC office for review.

The second foul on Graves - the phantom offensive foul - is the reason UK is ahead.
