How do we get a player each year with a concussion so bad they miss most of the season?
I would bet we are using a criteria to evaluate these things that is different from everyone else's. I have never seen a player miss so many games due to a concussion and we have had TWO of them. That is either some really bad luck or we are doing something no one else is doing in how we determine whether they are ready to play.
This game had that edge of your seat thriller like movie feel to it. i don't know about anyone else, but I kinda get a kick out of watching Mitchell do all his antics on the sidelines when he's losing. Kinda reminds me of the theatrics of Kim mulkey. With that said though, Mitchell is a really good coach. He helped Kentucky break out of that traditional bottom feeding status
I believe the medical people must be concerned about malpractice or something because they seem to be erring way on the side of caution.
Actually Nared can. Also, Burdick is not a bad defender either. Reynolds should be better she just gets too high. Needs to be in more of a squat.

Burdick is a better defender against forwards, not strong, physical guards. Haven't seen anything from Nared to suggest she can keep up with the better guards either.
Even Carter has been susceptible to the better guards.
Ariel plays better defense as part of a team dynamic, but doesn't have the speed or strength to be a great man to man defender.
At least ill be in a great mood tomorrow because of this win. I always have a down day following a lady vol loss lol
The downside of our switching defense is that we end up with our forwards defending the opponent's guards. That is why you must switch back ASAP if you get the chance, which we don't do very often.
Kentucky isn't all that talented, really. They've got a couple of pretty good guards, and they play hard, and they are good at getting us and other teams to play at a fast tempo that is favorable to them--but they aren't exactly loaded with talent.
I agree 100%. We should have won this game by 15 to 18 points. There were too many stupid turnovers that weren't even caused by UK. I think Middleton is a better player than some are giving her credit for. She got yanked when she put up that stupid spin shot and that was the last we saw of her. Our senior leader can turn it over repeatedly but let Middleton do it and she gets yanked for the rest of the game. Good win on the road. I hate that guy that calls these games on the broadcast. He is horrible and is clueless about some of the rules. Time to enjoy the win and move on to the next one.The downside of our switching defense is that we end up with our forwards defending the opponent's guards. You don't see us actively trying fix the mismatch. Izzy double/double, maybe this is the start of her run.
Mane I wish she could play a year with Diamond.
