Agree with all that. Other than the final score, there wasn't much to like about this game. We didn't play well, too many TO's, got outrebounded, and generally looked like a mess for much of the game. Even the announcer and the officials stunk more than usual.

Coaches tend to look at player's performances throughout the season as a collection of ups and downs and are willing to let the player work their way through them. It is risk management by the coach-sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It worked out for Holly tonight. Plus, I think Middleton was injured or sick and didn't really have another guard option.
The downside of our switching defense is that we end up with our forwards defending the opponent's guards. That is why you must switch back ASAP if you get the chance, which we don't do very often.
Kentucky isn't all that talented, really. They've got a couple of pretty good guards, and they play hard, and they are good at getting us and other teams to play at a fast tempo that is favorable to them--but they aren't exactly loaded with talent.
