POG Massengale she was a different player in the second half. She plays better off the ball Carter is better at PG.

I didn't get to watch the game but I think a victory on MTSU's home court with Insell as coach is a good win. He is a great coach and is especially great at developing post players.

I think it helps the home team more than the road team. I think Refs want call as many on the home team because they want to be liked. :cool:

Insell has a win over North Carolina and Kentucky on that court. It is a real tough place to play. Our team got rattled by all the foul calling settled down at half and dominated that half.

I'm not sure about that,it sounds like there going to be calling a lot of fouls,no matter where it is played at

We had four players with four fouls, two with three, and one fouled out. I was hoping we could finish the game.

Yes I think they will call a lot but I look for the home team to get about 25 to the road teams 35 something like that. I am now expecting every game to be at least 50 fouls.

I know how the players must feel I was in a little shock myself. Bashaara never gets in foul trouble and she was out in four minutes in this game.

that is going to slow the game way down,i don't see the need for that,i have no idea why they want the Ladys game to score more points,i understand them wanting to stop the over the top physical plays,but there going over board with it,i would think that calling the harder fouls would work better

One more tough road game then maybe we can play a cupcake at home. I will need a rest after tonight and that NC game. Really proud of the way the girls came out in the second half and took it to Middle feeling really good about this team.

We don't win this game without Mercedes holding the middle down while Graves and Izzy were out. Good job by the young'un. I've said all along that Carter was the better PG and Rel was better at the 2. I think it was evident tonight. I can't see how they can keep calling games this way. This game sucked for both teams tonight. Almost unwatchable.

Heard on the post game show that Hatchell isn't coaching because she is battling leukemia. I hadn't heard that till tonight. I hope the docs get a handle on this get her back 100%. Monday's game will be a battle. They will be playing super hard for their coach.

That is one of the reasons I was saying they will not enforce this rule consistently throughout the season. Money talks and the networks don't want to broadcast free throw shooting contests.

they can enforce it,with out going overboard,of course i couldn't watch the game either,so i will have to wait and see a game on TV first

Trust me mule, you don't want to see this junk. It's horrible. I am one who thought they needed to clean the game up but this is going so far the other way, the girls can't play.

Thanks for your insight and shared information.You made a shrewd comment on officiating when you said just call hard fouls,or something like that.As an official in Tennessee and Texas,many years ago,I was instructed to call fouls when a player's progress was impeded.That doesn't mean there were no tricky tack fouls ,but hands on players were only called when they became pushes or impediments to player progress.The new rules give leeway for already subpar officiating to become more so.Referees should be aware that fans are there to watch a basketball game,not a whistling contest,or parades to the foul line.Thanks again for your good work.

your welcome Benionsopinion,what conference where you reffing in ? if you don't mind me asking,I'm glad that a former ref agrees with to many cheap fouls being called
