Game Thread: Lady Vols at Miss St; 7PM; SEC network

Excellent sleuthing there. I am currently many time zones away so my posting schedule is out of whack. Trust me when I say I will never understand your persistent negativity towards Kellie and the team. Kellie is not perfect, what coach is, but she has done a lot of great things for the program which some, ahem, refuse to acknowledge.
Excuse my brevity but I try to limit my posting when my sweetheart is treating me to sunshine and rum.
My goodness , a double baptism, but you didn't mention the third baptism natty girl . Love rule and pours.

However it was decided, and your idea may be 100% accurate, I'm thinking the poor start to the season greatly influenced the decision.
Poor start to the season...they were 3-1 when they stopped playing and only lost to Louisville, who went to the Final Four that year. Duke went into Covid protocols (no coincidence) after that game and then the team voted.

I was relying upon memory and even before your post thought I had been mistaken when I saw they were 3-1. Then I looked at tge actual schedule & results.

That year, Duke beat Longwood, Eastern Kentucky, and Western Kentucky. Then they played Louisville and lost 73-49.

You can debate whether the three wins over weaker opponents offsets a 24-point stomping by a strong team. Still looks to me like they weren't quite ready for the tougher contests.

No debate to have...the season was canceled over covid. The only thing relevant about the Louisville game is that Duke entered covid protocols after playing them.
Your conjectures are just that. I'm just communicating what I know happened.
