They had 18. The big disparity was in free throws made.

Well hey, gotta have some hope..but you get no argument from me, this team is playing very bad basketball and it all comes back to holly in my opinion

wonder why we may not get recruits? Lord if I was the parent of a kid being recruited by TN and read how mean their fans are I would not let her go to TN. Like Holly just said in PGI let's get behind these girls just continue to support them.

These girls deserve a coach worthy of their abilities. I know they're hurting. But Holly isn't the answer.

I thought in the first quarter that things would be different in this game. They played tough and made good shots, Mercedes even seemed to know her role! Then the second half started and the fight was just gone! I really don't think these players like playing for Holly and after seeing how Diamond looked at Holly in that last minute huddle, I surely believe that! She had a look of just contempt on her face.

It's probably unlikely but I wouldn't be surprised to see diamond and cooper transfer out, or diamond leaving early for the WNBA. as it stands right now, we don't have to worry about losing anyone else to the wnba

She has three years. We would have to pay the remaining years as her buyout. Some parts of her remuneration are guaranteed and other parts aren't but it would be north of a million dollars, perhaps as much as two million.

I would say with what we had to pay in settlements to Jennings, Moshak etc... there is absolutely no desire to sink any more money into the situation and the AD will be very happy indeed to see the program which has been the cause of so much trouble sink to the bottom of the rankings.

Then we will have to rebuild from the ground up. I suspect Holly to start settling for very low ranked players in the next class just to fill up the roster or there will not be a team left for her to coach. We are really already doing that to a certain extent.

2016 - no one signed
2015 - Cooper and Meme
2014 - Dunbar, and Middleton (both mid-ranked tweeners) and Nared (who was over-ranked)

You are simply not going to compete at the highest levels with that sort of recruiting. It just isn't going to happen.

It's not the players, it's the coach and that's what I see and hear from most LV fans. Holly's not getting recruits because why would anyone want to play for a coach that has no ability to develop and nurture you for the next level? If I had the talent to go to a Div. I team, I would never look at today's Tenn. team.

You are right Holly knows more about basketball than any of us times ten, if she could only coach, recruit and not be out coached by coaches who appear to be 10 times smarter than Holly.

We are going to owe her money regardless. Anything short of 3-4 years on her contract will doom her (to the extent she hasn't already doomed herself) on the recruiting trail. You can just let the contract fizzle off.

Also I know Tennessee is not flush with money right now, but in the grand scheme of things $1-2MM over 4-5 years is a rounding error on the financials.

I think we are more likely to miss out on recruits because we play a dumb, lazy game where we are regularly outhustled and outcoached than we are because someone points those facts out on a message board. Do you think recruits don't see the truth of what I said? Do you think the opposing coaches aren't pointing out how hapless Holly is?

And if they are too dumb to see these things even after they have been pointed out to them, then they are not smart enough to help us once they get here anyway.

There will be departures after the season, if not the coaches, then some of the players.

Also, the reason we came back and made the score respectable is because they stopped forcing Holly's no offense scheme and just played basketball.
