When Scaife started going off I thought Holly would put Jas on her. Jas took their best player Canty out the game, but I'm happy with the win.

This game tells me we are about a 10-15 team right now. In order for us to move into top 10 or top 5 we have to develop the three in our offense. That is Holly's challenge. She also has to keep coaching this way and improving.

Funny how all the naysayers on this board are completely silenced, especially the ones who predicted a LV loss today, when there is a hard-fought win, even as ugly as this one was.

I personally don't mind the team losing as long as they play a good game with hustle and it looks like Holly is coaching and planning good strategy. Like the other night against Lipscomb-that was horrid. If we play ND or Stanford neck and neck and Holly is coaching and looks like she knows what is going on-then I have no problem.

Today she exploited Rutger's weaknesses, beat their strengths and shut down Scaife down the stretch. Can't ask for much more.

I wish somebody would tell Holly to start running scrimmages during practice, full court, 30 minutes, no dribbling. If you dribble the ball it is a turnover.

Don't know,Sandvol,but I thought Jasmine got a finger or hand jammed in a scrum on the floor. Shortly after, she made a turnover and came out of the game. She played one of her best games as a Lady Vol and I hope she's not hurt.

I actually think they could be dangerous this year,if Russell was able to play,Izzy would have a solid backup and the lack of a good post player when Izzy isn't in is hurting them

your right,somebody needs to be able to hit a damn 3 pt shot too

This game went about as I expected, especially after seeing it was going to be Dee calling the game. Dee always lets the other team beat on us inside. Finally in the second half, Denise called a couple of fouls from outside that occurred right in front of Dee. Things seem to level off after that. Rutgers is always a rough looking offensive game even during our championship years. This was a very good win for this team. Izzy went into beast mode in the second half. Our girls are just not mean enough. Holly needs to feed them a little gunpowder.

Good observations,OM. Dee's best moves on the court are flashing safe signs. She always lets the Lady Vols get knocked around down under Izzy showed her teammates how it's done in the second half.

I totally agree that we aren't mean enough. Rutgers posts are mean.
