The problems started when Hayes came in playing wild and out of control. Two quick TOs, two fouls and missed layups because she was running at warp speed. Westbrook was actually having a good game and the offense was in rhythm until Holly put in Hayes.

Law of averages says Meme will hit one of those wide open shots eventually. That quarter was all about brick by brick shooting and people getting reluctant to shoot an open shot and instead going to the force the pass inside routine again.

Holly should at least hire someone who knows what a zone is, she is completely helpless and has been since she started.

If we could shoot would be winning this one easily. Our lack of shooting ability is why we are such and erratic and susceptible team to being beaten by anyone at anytime.

In the halftime comments by Andy, he mentions a solution for MR and the zone. Wish our girls could hear that suggestion and follow that direction. (Most) Teams break zone defense all the time.

They are shooting 39 and we are shooting 31. The team that gets hot wins today. They are not the type of team that will force many turnovers so you have to make the open shots. It is a plague that has haunted Tennessee since Holly took over great athletes poor shooters. I think this would be a game where Dunbar could excel if given a chance.

You can blame Hayes and you are correct, But it starts with Holly for being to soft with her. A good coach would give her a good tongue lashing.

lack of any offense against the zone other than dribble dribble throw up a bad shot is what is killing us. The announcers see the problem, Holly cannot. Russell should score or get fouled on most every possession.

The LVs are going to have to build a lead and play ahead. A down-to-the-wire game favors OSU. They can beat us with 3s and it's going to be tough to match their outside shooting.

Holly needs to hire someone who knows offense in general, cause our offense hasn't cut it for 6 years.
Most importantly, our players struggle with having confidence offensively. This is a direct result of coaching. Davis needs to be more aggressive, Mercedes does, pretty much everyone except Jackson. She gives a lot of effort so no hate to her, but tonight isn't her night.
We should look at a zone as an opportunity to hammer an opponent. If we just move the ball side to side, someone will eventually have an open shot. But we just don't have confidence in a zone. We will lose this game if we don't get it together offensively.

I hope they did a quick practice in the locker room on how to handle a zoneC! We need to be smart on substituting as we were the first game.
