Which play? The grounder got by McSwain - she couldn't quite reach it to her left, she's edging towards the plate anyway and she may have obstructed Gregg's view I don't know. Gregg had to backhand it and couldn't do it. It would have been a tough play for any SS, but these plays you have to make. The Florida SS would have made that play. Romero from Michigan makes that play. Gregg has to.

On the passed ball, Overstreet just misjudged it I think. It didn't look like it was too far away for her to catch.

It's on Overstreet IMO, but she didn't just "drop" it. She reached to her right with an outstretched arm and the ball didn't catch in the glove's webbing. The ball went through her glove to the backstop. Erin could have had it a little closer inside I guess.

The batter at the top of the lineup that scored the winning run. I might be incorrect but based on how well Erin was pitching prior to that point and how out of zone the pitches were to that batter it looked like an "unintentional" intentional walk. Could be wrong though. Didn't have an issue with the other walk which is pretty textbook softball 101.

OK gotcha. I don't think it was intentional but they pitched her very carefully all game long after the first inning.

Well like a glutton for punishment I'm back out here on the field for day three of the Lady Vols and the softball tournament. Today's games are at the Tempe Sports Complex. Which is nothing more than a bunch of ball fields carved out of the desert. I'm joined by hundreds of fans including tarantulas scorpions spiders snakes etc. It's going to be hot all day. Hopefully the team is hot also. We'll see.

Forget yesterdays bad games, suck it up, and come back strong.

Moss will be your game 1 starter....Gaffin in game 2.....depending on how Moss does...they may also throw Bush some in game 1

I'm glad today's games are during the day. I just couldn't take last night's cold weather. 65 degrees, brrrr...

Yes it looks as if Ralph wants speed in his 9 spot...so they have a high % of being on base when the lineup turns over to Vines and Leach

Also looks as if Ralph is giving Lockman a look behind the plate and moved Lexi to 3rd for this game

Every time I went to visit family in Albuquerque the nights would always get cool .....but to me it felt warmer than the actual temp.... I guess it's all in what you are used to. I've never been to southern Arizona so maybe it's different there.
