I know Snyder was a verbal commit up until a couple years ago, and I actually read her article in KNS a few yrs back. She was a highly touted recruit at the time that KNS deemed it necessary to run her story in their paper. Needless to say I was somewhat surprised to not see her name among the signees, but as you know that happens sometimes. As in recent case of Brooke Vines (originally committed to Stanford), a recruit can change her mind for whatever reason(s) and decommit from the first school she verbally committed to. I don't know anything about Jaiden Johnson. Remember the Goldfastpitch lists "verbals" and not "signees". I've found the Goldfastpitch site missing some verbal/signee for a certain school in the past and in general is not being up-to-date 100% of the time, therefore I think that's probably the case with Snyder and Johnson. I doubt Snyder and Johnson are coming over to Rocky Top this fall.

Gametime, who's your source? Where did you get eleven signees??

The link you provided is a bit older link. The 3 girls listed there I would like to know their 2016 high school stats. Those were up to only 2015 from the Vols website. I guess I can find out their high school & look for possible sports/athletics site for those schools. Maybe I could find them that way. I would just like to know because all 3 of those players seemed to have solid stats & awards through their 2015 seasons.

The only change I have from yours Jeff is I think Arizona is going to upset Auburn in 3 games. I say this solely because of O'Toole for Arizona.

I don't know what the brackets will look like for the WCWS but I'm picking UF-Oklahoma in the championship series. I think UF wins it again but Oklahoma is very capable of knocking them off their throne. They have the hitting to counter UF's pitching in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of slap hitters, but I do like dominant pitching with timely hitting...Where is that perfect world scenario, Florida?

If you look at the first four they have a pretty impressive offer list. Don't know much about the final three except Weekly's know talent.

I didn't know a thing about the last 3 girls from Jeff's link. I knew a bit about the other 4 girls signed that Jeff or somebody posted earlier from another link. I guess I knew more about the Arnold girl because she is a local talent.

Goldfastpitch.com lists 9 for us for 2016, not 11, my error....When I was counting them up and looking up their individual data, I did not see the 2017 tag until I had added 2 more inadvertently...I left the bag to soon, so I'm out....

It is fun/exciting looking forward to next season...You guys are really a bunch of good/great fans...I'm proud to be one of you!

So, Jeff was correct with 7 players signed. Goldfastpitch still has those 2 girls listed but they have signed elsewhere but like Jeff said that site lists "verbals" & not LOI signings. Wonder where those 2 other girls signed?

Looks like we have a pretty good signing class if you ask me. Anybody know what our class for 2016 is ranked nationally? What's the best site to get that information? Thanks!

Great post, GT. The team knows what it's weaknesses are. The pitching has to get better. The defense has got to get much better. And the bottom half of the order must do much much more at the plate.

Some or all of these players must up their game and be ready: Lockman, McSwain, McClain, Lilley, Bush, Morrison. Rowland must recover from her injury and along with the incoming freshman be ready to contribute.

Gabby Sprang is a southpaw pitcher coming in next year--from Minnesota but has been playing/pitching for a summer club team in Georgia. She is 6' or 6'1" tall--a very good prospect.

Team rankings? I didn't see those. I saw the individual recruits but no team rankings. I'll go back & look again to find it. Thanks buddy. Are you talking about actual threads from the forums on that site?

Gabby Sprang is class of 2017....You left the bag early on that one....But she does look very, very, good!

Shelby Robinson it is, not Shelby Rogers. My bad. I believe Ashlee Snyder is a 2016 prospect unless she has reclassified herself to 2017 class which I doubt.

The college softball site posted by armchair has only Holcomb(#21, OF) & Martin(#80, P/1B) listed in the top 100 for our 2016 signing class. I was surprised there was only 2 of our 7 recruits ranked in the top 100.

Wonder where Arnold is ranked overall? I would thought she'd been in the top 100 going by her stats. She's got to be top 150 for sure.

For 2017, we have Gabby Sprang(#6, P), Ashley Morgan(#56, C/UTILITY), & Brooke Langston(#99, INF).

For 2019, we have Jaelyn Operana(#12, OF/P), Anna Hazlewood(#28, P/1B), Caitlyn McCrary(#41, 3B), Callie Turner(#56, P), & Maddie Webber(#66, 1B/OF).

They don't have a thread for 2018 recruiting that I seen. I don't know why but they appear to not have one.

Looks like already we have a very solid 2019 signing class & we're still 3 years away. Many of course are uncommitted at this time for 2019.

Not so much as solid a class for 2017 yet but a few haven't signed for 2017 yet.

LVJeff just doesn't follow softball recruiting and I'm surprised that you didn't know that...But not a big deal...

It's reliable 99% of the time, I'm sure. But I don't blame the site when a recruit decommits and doesn't notify the site of the change. It's not really their responsibility to follow the every step/decision a 16-17 year old makes...
