Did Geer not know how important it was to get the runner on 2nd base over to 3rd with 0 outs? 3 straight pitches to the cleanup hitter...and she doesn't take the bat off her shoulder! Plus, if she had gotten back to the fence on the lSU home run...she would hav had a chance to catch the ball that barely cleared the fence! They earned this loss. 3-30 with runners on base? Terrible.

I agree. A player with her experience didn't even take the bat of her should the entire AB. That should not happen. LSU got luck on that HR though that won the game. It was a good pitch actually.

It was down in the zone but may have been right down the middle instead of being on the corner. Maybe too good of a pitch for an 0-2 count with 2 out but it was a low pitch & not a fat pitch to hit.

Just from my point of view,in baseball,fast pitch softball playing and watching games for years,I have never seen a team take so many strikes.

LSU has been playing well....they won't get a top 8 seed I wouldn't want to see them in a super regional

On a positive note...Overstreet looked like she had been playing 3rd base her entire career! Great job! Lockman is a very good defensive catcher! Great fundamentals! Moss was impressive! The offense? Well, it looked like they had their head up their butt all day...and it's hard to see the ball from that location! lol 3-30 in two games woith runners on base? Unbelievable.

I hate to say it but I have to agree now. We probably needed to make the SEC championship game to have had a chance. I'm not surprised at all we lost. LSU wasn't pre-season ranked #3 in the country for nothing. I also think we were deflated due to the loss of Gaffin.

I still don't get the lineup/position changes. We had no hitting today. Moss deserved a better outcome. That's the way things go though in these tournaments. Anybody can beat anybody to be honest but this wasn't an upset at all. I guess I'll have to pull for either Auburn or LSU now because I don't want UF to win it for sure.

I hate those facemasks on the helmets and I cant help but wonder if those are a distraction at times -- if they want protection I wonder if those clear shields like FB players have on their helmets might be a better alternative

My Top 8 seeds would look something like this

1. Florida
2. Michigan
3. Oklahoma
4. Alabama
5. Oregon
6. Auburn
7. Florida State
8. James Madison

If LSU wins the tourney they will be a 9...If Auburn wins I see them a 5 seed Tennessee will be a on the road for Supers and either head to Florida State or Oregon...there won't be a rematch with Auburn for Supers played each other during regular season

Defense was pretty good today. Offense was missing in action! Aucoin struggles against good pitching and in pressure situations. Leach has hit the proverbial freshman wall! Walljasper had a 9-5 record coming into this game...but our batters made her look like a 1st team All-American! She's not! We had runners on base almost every inning. No timely hitting. Team seemed semi-conscious at the plate...don't think this is a team capable of winning on the road in a super regional...too passive with the bats.

How long have you been following softball?? Those facemasks start on the girls in tee ball....not a distraction at all

Our hitting seems to be falling off, as it did last year. Plenty of opportunities wasted and ruined a good performance by Moss (at least through 6). You can't strike out with runners in scoring position and aucoin did that twice. That's how you lose games.

I'd agree with you on your top 8 seeds for now. Not in that particular order though. I think FSU will be ahead of Auburn & Oregon probably ahead of Bama. JMU could end up higher as well. Maybe as high as #5 but more likely #7 or #8.

I do also agree with you even if LSU wins the tourney they don't make the top 8 seeds. Probably either 9th or 10th. No way they can pass those 8 teams you listed to jump in there. They are going to be a very dangerous team though. I wouldn't want to play them in either the regionals or super regionals.

I still say no matter what including our Lady Vols we could have as many as 5 SEC teams in the CWS just like last season. I think 4 is more likely though. I think we're probably not gonna make it due to losing Gaffin(team deflater) & probably having to go on the road for the super regionals if we advance.

Yeah Oregon will be your Pac 12 Champs and Florida State will be your ACC champs....I think the committee will send us to Tallahassee and a rematch of last years super regional

Without Gaffin the team seemed out of whack today....Not a good sign of things to come.
That was a big injury.

The coaches made many more changes than they needed to make. They could have simply put mcclain in center and carried on but chose to move lots of people around. Not sure it was detrimental, we got more hits than LSU, but we're terrible in big spots all game. We should have won the game.

The team will be fine geez! Kinda hard to adjust after only a day...glad Overstreet had a great day at 3rd and Lockman looked good behind the plate....the DP spot will probably be a feeling by the coaches either Morrison or McSwain...cannot go wrong with either one
