I was at the Mary Nutter Classic games in February and Aldrete's dad was there and worried about Annie's slump. I'll bet he feels good right now.

Auburn wins, so with a series sweep by Tennessee over UK and Auburn over LSU tomorrow we wrap up the 4 seed.

Florida beats Missouri 9-6.
Auburn beats LSU 1-0.
Alabama will beat Arkansas unless there is Heavenly intervention.

Current standings (Showing an Alabama win):
Florida 18-4
Auburn 18-5
Alabama 16-7
LSU 14-9 (Owns the tiebreaker over TN)
Tennessee 14-9 (Owns the tiebreaker over both GA and Mizzou)
Georgia 14-9
Missouri 13-10

Yup, that was me.

It will be tough for Auburn to beat LSU a third time at LSU but Missouri and Florida tip off at 11am EST, while Auburn-LSU tip off at 1 so as far as Auburn knows it will still be playing for the SEC regular season title.

Can we say that taking out Gabriel backfired in this game? Tarango came in and gave up a three-run dinger. The Weeklys know what they're doing--but switching pitchers didn't work in the fourth inning. Great win, though, and Aldrete comes through like the All America she is.

I bet the Weeklys wished the pitching was consistent enough not to have to worry about these swaps

I actually thought they might have brought Erin back in to pitch some more

but it all worked out

due to the big bats

This has been a good season considering the pitching. Looks like we'll go over 40 wins again. We should be back in the top five next season with a chance to win the SEC with the pitching we have coming in.

Speaking of screwing up pitching, you could be a Kentucky fan. Lawson completely screwed the pooch on that 1-2 count against Geer. Thats a textbook situation for a "junk" pitch to get a batter swinging at the moon. I couldn't tell what the call was but it was entirely too close to the plate.

The pitch given to Aldrete was odd as well. It looked like a outside rise. I would think with a right handed batter in that situation you pitch her inside to jam her and pop it up. It was just bizarre.

Like I have said before, I am not a fan of take 2 before you hit 1, but, what was Scarlet thinking about with the bases loaded, wow, take a pitch!

First I heard that yesterday's plan was to only pitch Erin 3 innings. I wondered why she was pulled yesterday.
