The Weeklys said today Moss is available for the SECT and they expect to pitch only Moss and Arnold in the postseason. They also said they expect the LVs can hold the 8 seed with a game 1 win.

Since they'll have to manage pitch counts, wonder if they're planning to use both pitchers against LSU/OM?

If they truly think that they can get the 8th seed anyway then pitch count for either or both would not matter to me if i was making the call. Got to win the first game regardless and then a loss if it happens against the 1seed Florida is ok. I know some would rather face TAM but with their hitters killing us last year and i truly think their pitching is better that LSUs. Regardless we have to hit the darn ball and play good defense and pitch.JMHO:)

Guys, any chance a new pitching coach can work with Gabby in the off season? The person doesn't have to be on the staff permanently, but the girl needs help in the circle.

I am just a guy here that has been told on here by the so called LVs softball insider that the problem is not coach related. It is all in her head. I was also told by someone that Marty had worked with her delivery and release point. Now i am not a pitching coach but i have coached a state softball runner up one year and the champion the next year and can see something is different from fall ball until now. I would think someone knows the just of the thing but not i. Some think you cannot have an opinion if it is not based on FACT. HaHa!! JMHOpionion!:bash:

Keep posting shortstop. It is obvious you understand the game of softball. Nothing wrong with opposing opinions. We are all Tennessee softball fans.

I had heard the same thing about Gabby losing her "mojo" or whatever....We finally get a left hander and she losses her confidence....She needs a pitch doctor to help her self confidence....If she had been mentally strong, this squad could be lethal.

Anybody that has been following the team knows that she is pitching far worse than she did early in the season. Her release is not smooth it has a twist of the wrist in it and that certainly makes it hard to throw strikes. She may be a head case right now, because she doesn't have confidence in the motion of her throws. She will need extensive work in the off season really needs a personal pitching coach. May have to start over with her and erase everything that has happened since February.

Unfortunately this is another season where one of our programs came into the season being more highly touted then we end up actually being. I hope we have something up our sleeves we were saving for the tournament...but I think what we've seen is what we are. Which is a decent kind of middle of the sec squad. I wish them the best and hope they have some extra gear waiting to be pushed...but its disappointing that once again we are falling short of loftier expectations. Go Vols.

first at bat McClain steps out of box and is out and next up Holcomb did as well although she was out at first. These two can not get on without stepping out of the box and hope they are not called. Must be someway to correct this because everyone else is not as blatant, although Alabama has two that do it every time as well but rarely gets called.

Hope Arnold has a shutout in her as after the first three batters were not much of an offense today.

Arnold though 5 us 1-0. Top of 5th she threw 7 pitches and all were strikes. Hard to believe a one run lead will be enough. One swing from a tie game but Arnold has settled in.

The new slap rule totally ruined McClain's game. She is totally lost now and this is her last season. She could never adjust even after playing an entire season under the rule.

or stop them from playing. Our girls have not learned the technique and i though Childs was the guru. Leach has done so on occasion as well. The others are replaceable but she is not!

Need to be required to re-chalk the box every couple innings. How could the Ref tell she was out there is not box.
