I agree. I know its early, but if we look this bad against a slow team, the SEC is gonna be a nightmare against quick and athletic teams. The slowdown pace doesn’t really work if you don’t have MULTIPLE accurate three point shooters on the floor. We are missing having defense turn into offense and points off turnovers bad.
I was just thinking the same thing.
Time out at the start of the third and "get in their grills"
Come on coach!
Don't let them play through complacency
We look terrible on offense and only fair on defense. I was hoping for better than this. Individually, Rae has been impressive and I think Lou Brown will be a big contributor as well. We need a decisive take-control PG, better outside shooting, any post play at all would be an improvement, and we're still confused on defending screens.
This is correct. A lot of these players, like Massengale, were awful shooters last year and would need to improve a lot just to be average. Missing tons of layups, no consistent outside shooter. Brown is playing better on one leg than some of these other girls and she was no great shakes on her last team.
Posts in particular look awful. Really need someone better than KK, but none of the young posts have looked good tonight.
As bad as we look tonight they still look ten times better than the last 5 years. I see more effort and desire on the defensive end. The boards we will have to gang rebound to be effective in big games.

This team needs to grow up fast. The SEC season will come at them fast and they absolutely are not close to being ready.
Most disappointed that they are still playing tentatively and with nerves instead of just being in the flow of the game and taking it at the other team.
Lots of issues, but my biggest question is who is our take-charge point guard? There needs to be a captain of this ship with all its tentative freshmen and transfers.
