So you think it adds value to your criticism to call him "Clipboard John [sic]?"

I remember how nasty posters got toward Holly and would hope that discussion of the current program would refrain from that behavior this time around.

How expressing that equates to "defending the coaching and results on the court" is beyond me. I suppose you also think those who say that they "love Kellie as a VFL but not as a coach" are also "supporting such apathy."

Questioning many of the coaching decisions and calling some of the latest losses "bad" and "horrible" do not equate to "defending the coaching and results in the floor." At least, not in East Tennessee among mature adults.

Likewise, pointing out inconsistencies and inaccuracies is just keeping it 100.
I never attacked anyone's character or did any name calling, so how am I being nasty? if you think the product TN is currently putting on the court is acceptable, you are delusional!

You can like a person but know that they aren't living up to the expectations of their job. Just because Kellie isn't a great coach doesn't mean she wasn't a great player.

And since you are so "mature" wouldn't you have the wisdom to stop doing the same thing over and over again when it always yields the same results? what inaccuracies and inconsistencies are you referring to? Kellie = nice person; also Kellie = not a great coach. Simple enough for you to comprehend in your "mature" East TN brain?

These coaches can't get sniff 5 star players and that's the problem!

RJ came her because of Jordy...she stayed because of NIL
Can u link the interview where she said that? Because I’ve seen different videos of her talking about these topics.

I'll ignore the rest of your rambling rant but humor you to define terms since you can't puzzle it out for yourself.

Inaccuracies includes things like misrepresenting verifiable facts such as coaching records, number of starts, years played, rankings, etc. Posters are constantly having to correct errors that affect the conversation.

Inconsistencies include making conflicting statements, especially when recommending coaches. Head coaching experience vs. little (or no) experience, big name vs. unknown, inaccurate comparison of resumes, and other contradictions make it hard to follow the logic of some posters.

understood but Gonzaga a wee bit up the rung from middle tennessee

And Stanford was a wee bit higher than Tennessee with a Hall of Fame coach holding the all-time win record. Also, Tenn was unranked vs. Stanford at no. 2/3.

The point is that upsets happen, and losing even one key player can make that even more possible. That doesn't excuse our losses or shortcomings, but it does indicate that upsets and near-upsets happen much more frequently these days as more available talent gets spread around.

Ah, so you are speaking in general terms for many posters and not me directly... I can see that. Apologies if I took it as a personal attack.

One thing I try to provide is facts. I referenced the 11 turnovers last night as being an improvement, but not enough to survive with a W. Another post i talked about the experience and coaching record of Megan Duffy - all cited facts.

We are all going to have subjective opinions and some fit certain narratives and some with other perspectives. The one thing we all have in common ( at least most posters ) is that we hate to see the LVs struggle. We are all emotional and made need to take a moment and not react so harshly to opposing views.

You fans beat up Kellie and you should, But how about beat up this portal bust and yes i said bust as it stands right now Jewel Spears. last 3 games 75 mins played 14 pts unacceptable for one of the top portal pickups.
It's no secret Jewel has been struggling, but I posted elsewhere that she is the most impacted by Rickea's injury. All the defensive attention Rickea would draw can now focus on Jewel as our next best offensive option. She had to carry a heavy load at Wake Forest but that was a very bad team. My hope that is once Rickea is back, Jewel can put up numbers closer to what we saw in the first two games when Rickea played: 19 points per game, 52% shooting, 50% from 3.

And, I've yet to see any kind of set play to just give her an open look or two to help settle her down over these last three games.

For the record, I don't think the current conversations have gotten particularly nasty, just mildly insulting (the game threads have always been a different animal and often involve people who ONLY show up when the team is struggling. That speaks for itself). But I hope we can keep criticisms civil even when they are emphatic in whatever direction. To be honest, some posters I had ignored in the past seem to have toned things down quite a bit, which is much appreciated. Doesn't change their feelings or stance, just the way they express it. ☝

Excellent take. Centered. Just made my peep list Pasadena…

Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The number of player injuries Kellie has had to work around since she has Coached here are just astounding, and always included our top player. It’s a wonder she and the teams have done as well as they have.

To mention some players, probably not all, who were out for the season, or for a significant number of games are: Zaay Green, Marta Suarez, Rae Burrell, Keyen Green, Jordan Horston, Tamari Key last year and this year, and Rickea Jackson. Tamari and Rickea are our most impactful players, and Tamari is easing into competition, and Rickea has been out for weeks. Losing players like they are make a huge difference, and it’s not just their play, but who has to play more because they’re not there. They are both irreplaceable.

Do we know if rickea is coming back. Haven’t heard anything about that

I acknowledge Rickea is a special talent and could help with the LV, but the other surrounding players really are not showing much to help her. (Strip maybe the exception) and brings the squad a one dimensional look.
Even the great Pete Maravich in the late 60’s averaged 44 points a game and LSU was 12-14 in 67-68.
My point is the recruiting has got to improve and bring a team concept in play for the LV to return to glory.
Just my humble opinion…..
