I still wouldn't expect a new coach this season would be a big surprise if that happened. If he is going to make a change mid-season better be a good one.

We wouldn’t hire someone mid-season but I could see him letting the Harpers walk and allowing the assistants to finish the season. Kinda like Florida a couple seasons ago.

That was obviously a little different with the investigation into the head coach, but if the wheels are squeaky enough and we lose to anymore teams we shouldn’t I could see it going down.

I don't think they will change anything this year, I think he is just trying to calm the waters.

Too much noise too early in the season to avoid. Lack of recruiting HS has been protected by the portal. First few years were protected by transition from Holly to Kellie. Too many signs of moving in the wrong direction. Apathy is cascading more with each loss and social media is getting louder.

well if she can learn from it what about everyone else playing with her they couldnt beat middle tennessee you dont see uconn losing to southern connecticut or tara losing to Cal State Northridge

Not everyone is on her level and can control a game like she does. U can say whatever, but u need the talent to back it up and the will to win.

This is what you said in a Barnes thread. Just how many Coaches are you advocating firing, Heupel, Barnes, anyone, everyone?

“Not that we should get rid of our coach, I hear Wake Forest has a stud of a coach we could take at any time.”

I literally said that we shouldn't get rid of Barnes in that statement. I just think Forbes would be a good coach after he retires. Forbes has good connections in the state and is a solid person.

Reach for some more straws...

Courtney Whitson, from my hometown, is a great person and gritty player. She is, however, a fifth-year grad student, so sophomores Ace and Edie certainly didn't affect her recruiting.

You, like so many others I’ve never heard of, many who do not watch Lady Vol basketball games, including this last one, many who are not fans of Tennessee in any sport, and some who may just be bored TN football fans, have come to pile on here, probably just hoping to add some excitement to your life, but it’s sad and disgusting.

Let me try to help you out here. Your beef really isn't with Edie or Ace. You're really complaining because Kellie couldn't land the targeted post players like Del Rosario who could contribute immediately. Then having shorter bench players wouldn't matter since they would only get mop up minutes.

We had a 6'5" center who wasn't seeing much time behind Tamari and who transferred out. We struck out with other posts and forwards in the last couple of years, and Justine wasn't a post (note: she still hasn't rebounded well at Vandy). So any recruiting shortcomings weren't exacerbated by adding Ace & Edie.

Gonzaga is a ranked team, no reason a LadyVol team should lose that game with Rickea out, we should have so much more talent. But without Rickea most teams will have better overall talent than us.
