I love seeing the absolute emotional release of the post game locker room after games like this. It can be really fun following a scrappy team trying to claw back to elite level, as long as they can stay on an upward trajectory. Unexpected wins by unexpected margins are a special kind of fun and relief. By God, we did it, at least tonight. Thanks for sharing that feeling ladies.

When they're on, Rae and Rennia are lethal.

Rennia reminds me of Jimi Hendrix. She's an artist. Has that cool swag and little smile that says, "I know I'm good. And you can't stop me."

And Rae is just a flat-out warrior. Someone you'd always want on your side when you go to battle.

Like Grant and Admiral...their games complement each other.

Jordan H. Is starting to show why she was so highly-ranked. After a shaky start, she settled down, made great passes, let the game come to her, and made some momentum-changing defensive plays.

Kasi adjusted and started making her move to basket without putting the ball on the floor. If she works on her free throws, she'll be a great asset. Stamina much better, and she did much better keeping hands up on defense. Nice work!

Walker, Salary, others finding their roles nicely.

Hope Jaidan and Keyen got to enjoy the win even if remotely. We miss you.

I jumped out of my chair and scared my dogs with that strongest no-dribble move Kasi made tonight. It was one of the more exhilarating moments of the season for me because I had longed to see that kind of “Corn-fed girls”-level post confidence in her. What a thrill!

Maybe the best game Kellie has coached.

This game showed the formula for Tennessee's success this season: Davis and Burrell scoring with Horston as the third option, KK (or Key) providing a reliable option down low, and Walker with solid point guard play to steady the team when Horston is out of control with 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

And limiting turnovers!

If Kellie can keep building on this, the Lady Vols could do some damage this season...

Yep. But I'm still trying to think of the player we had who would where these long black eyelashes in games a few years back. I can see her face in my mind but can't get her name to come forward in my brain to speak it. Oh well .... that's the way it goes in life when you have problems in recalling names.

Did anyone else notice a particularly beloved celebrity Tennessean in the seats behind Rennia Davis during her post-game interview?

Okay, she wasn’t actually a fan in a seat, but a “fan cutout” of none other than the GREAT, the FABULOUS Dolly Parton was right there in the shot behind Rennia. I absolutely love that.

Watching again and Salary played great minutes. Her defense was much better tonight, no turnovers, a couple nice passes and she hit both 3s she took. One was waived off due to an off ball foul down low. Nice to see though! She’s a hustler as well, she was on the floor after loose balls a few times. We’ve been missing players like her.

Was it Alex Fuller? I can’t remember if she had lashes on but she was always a little dolled up. Always thought she was a pretty gal.

Marta is only a freshman. I know she played international basketball but it is a different game. She has a good basketball IQ She will adjust and be fine.

The more i think about it i’m thinking Zaay i know she is only a junior but years ago she was a freshman and i remember her eye lashes falling off in a game 😂

And solid role players in Marta and Salary. Think if we had Green. This team will require alot of wise situational, matchup-dictated subbing. Good start on that tonight for KJH.

I'm officially worried about Key. She is not getting better. Is Rick Barnes available to coach her?

Everyone who played contributed. We've talked a lot about KK and Walker, but Salary and even Saunders did good things in their time.

And to everyone that whined about Kellie playing the subs so many minutes against the cupcakes instead of trying to win by 80, this is why...

Yes. So far against our ranked opponents the rotation has shortened drastically. The substitutions made sense against Indiana as well. Emily’s 2 minutes before the half were very important. She made no errors and had a couple positive contributions. Really helped to keep Kasi out of foul trouble.

Hopefully things are shaping up a little for us. Against both of our ranked opponents we have executed well for the majority of the game. Something that couldn’t be said for several years. This team does not appear to get rattled when teams go on a run either. They punch back, which is refreshing. CHW would panic, and thus so would the team...
