Game Thread Lady Vols vs Albany

Here's the problem with the Lady Vols right now:

1. They don't know who they are as a team. Sometimes we press, sometimes we play zone, sometimes we play man to man, and all this adds up to we're not really great at anything.

2. Many of the players don't know who they are as players. The team lacks roleplayers. Middleton needs to understand that all she can do is shoot threes that's her only job. Jones needs to defend and rebound. Cooper needs to shoot and manage the offense. A lot of them play outside of their competencies.

It's on the coaches to correct this and provide direction and develop the players and team.

Thank you for stating this! I have said the same thing many of them are just being allowed to do what they want so everyone thinks they are stars/starters and no roles have been established.

I am loving the teams we are playing. They are smart teams, they play to their strength and forcing us to face our weakness early on. I love it.

Nope but I have an issue with the coach playing her out there on the wing and forcing her to have to, she should be Graves backup and not starting at the 3

If Holly doesn't settle on a rotation she is going to lose the team/locker room, Diamond isn't going to play for a lame duck (just my opinion) "Head Coach" (she's a great assistant but not head coach). It is no way that Middleton should return this game with the bad passes she has made yet Te'a remains on the bench, why is middleton being used as a Point Guard anyway?
