I've thought with our draw we could make it to the elite 8. Just don't listen to the coach girls.

It was a great win--but let's be clear: We SHOULD have won this game. This wasn't an upset, despite the tournament seedings. ASU has a nice team, has /some/ talent--but we have more talent; that was apparent to me, and what we did tonight is play somewhat like we should have been playing all year. We are doing a better job of not turning the ball over, and we have reduced (though not eliminated) quite a bit of the stupid play that plagues this program. I was glad to see the coaches go back to the zone defense and stick with it. We should have played it all game. We played it in the first half, then went back to man defense and go burned throughout the 2nd quarter. When we went back to zone to start the 3rd quarter, we completely bothered them. DD played pretty well overall--but she's got to take the ball to the rack and take fewer pullup jumpers, which she too often misses. But a nice game. Graves hit the boards in the second half, and Russell, Nared and Reynolds all played well. Hard to believe Russell had 10 points in the 1st quarter and scored only two points the rest of the game. Not sure that was smart, but others picked up the slack and we really slowed down asu with our zone. Good win--and another big game coming up next. Let's do it.

Enjoy it people! Been a long year for UT Sports and not a lot of signs there will be a let up anytime soon.

To all the coach potato coaches, you don't know ****!! I know it makes some of you unhappy, but we're on our way to the Sweet Sixteen. And, Holly will be for quite a while. We were dawgs by 6-8 points tonight. See what happened there?

Well as AlexVol said Holly should send a Thank You note to the ASU staff for not playing a zone...you know we are terrible if you zone us! I expect OSU to play a zone against us

I'm amazed at all of the coaching elites we have posting on VN each and every year......just amazing.

So proud of these Lady Vols tonight! So pleased with their grit and effort, especially Mercedes! She put herself into this game from the start and it really made a difference in the whole team!

It doesn't take a genius to figure it out .....all 13 losses were against zones ......the ASU Coach is a complete imbecile for not using a zone but I want to thank her profusely .....cuz that is what got her beat.

That's it. They did it exactly how it needed to be done. Now, keep doing it that way. Run, run, run. Pressure D. Small line-up with one post for most of the game. Thank you for finally doing what you have the talent to do, Mercedes. Don't forget what you did today, Holly. Well done.

Their best game of the year because of how they performed against quality competition when it mattered most.

The Lady Vols can drive to the basket against a zone too and do it effectively. You just drive and have another cutter going to the basket at the same time. We have a girl drive and the others just stand there and watch her.

I agree about getting killed by the zone this season. The way you beat it offensively is run at every opportunity, take early shots and rebound well offensively. If Holly lets it get into a double post grind, they are dead meat against quality opponents.

Don't be all happy and everything cause we just beat a coach that's dumber than holly...with that being said.. I'm glad we won.

If I am reading the brackets right, the SEC has 3 teams in the Sweet 16 now and 2 more possible?

Yes, 5 out of 9 seems likely. SCAR, MSU and UT are in-- UK and aTm are favored tomorrow. It would be a major upset for Mizzou to get past Texas.
