We should be pressing all game, every game. Should have been doing it all year. Stats of the night: 17 assists, 10 turnovers. If they are accurate, that's a great, great improvement. This team needs Nared to start stepping up and scoring--she's talented but, like most of the team, has had her head in her shorts most of the season. She seems to be asserting herself more--11 points tonight. She and DeShields can be effective wingers--but ultimately you have to make shots. Good performance--68 points is a super night for us.

actually I look at Nared as being in mid season form,she has missed around half the year

I do like the Press too armchair

Good game and good win but as one poster pointed out they shot 38% and they have so much more to give and play much better.Hope that they really build on this game for tomorrow nite.

Yep and they put out even more effort which was really good to see .This game was really encouraging and shows that they can go deep into this tourney and the next one as well if they play together and continue to build some cohesion .My hat is off to them :hi:

As I have posted for months now - run, transition, press = win. Half court game plan, double post, get lazy, lose focus = loss. Those plans are 100% on Holly. The execution of those plans is 100% on the players, with Holly responsible for sensible, timely substitutions. It has been that simple all season.

The LV's are top 10 in talent. They are substandard in the execution due to the above.

Nared is great driving the ball using those long arms and height. Not so much shooting threes. Needs to stay away from those.

The coaches should have redshirted Moore her first year--crazy stupid not to do so given how skinny she was then (and still is)--and she never played. The Vols could really have used her next year--and should have gotten more minutes this year. Again, Warlick played Russell too much. The players have been bad most of the year, but HW hasn't gotten much right. Maybe they are all getting their act together.

It was Mule. I think it was a great stat. LV's delivered the offense and defense tonight. For the peanut gallery, Diamond had one T/o tonight.

She gets the hype because she can do things that no one else on the floor can. She put up some wild shots tonight because she thought she was fouled and they didn't call them. It was great to hear the crowd chant Go Nia Moore. Good win tonight. Survive and advance.

Yes, Diamond brought a lot of energy and in the second half some swagger that the LVs have been needing. She crashed the boards, hustled for loose balls, and worked hard on defense. She did not have a great shooting but did not let her slow offense start effect her overall effort.

I am pretty sure Holly doesn't handle substations. I think she handled them the last few years under Pat. One of the assistants handles subs
